To bad they decided to rip them back from us this patch. Pretty sure what they did was make it so people actually build t3 or t4 as soviets instead of just rushing t34/85 spam. They are still useful tanks you just can't spam the crap out of them and expect to win every time using that strat. I've been using them effectively since then to supplement my forces. Also they didn't change the starting resources or the build times back to what they were on release for those buildings, it's still completely viable to go t1 or t2 off the start as soviet. In: Lobby

At max range, they lost 4% dps. At midrange, they gained 7% dps. If you're not at the shortest range possible, you're doing it wrong. If you prefer long range don't use ppsh upgrade commander. EDIT:I'm seeing a lot of "I forgot how to counter con spam" on this thread, since we've been dealing with 1 cp shocks and guards for so long now. PQ did say that the patch was within the contest of larger changes they plan on implementing in the future - perhaps they will implement a tiered ranking system to match elo - like in vCoH or like they have in SC2. Neo makes a great argument. At 9CP (along with the long recharge on dispatch), the T34/85 barely has any impact on the field, nor functions a flanker like the T34 was intended. It only serves to be augmented as a SU85 escort(a KV8 does a better job of that) or bait to lure armored units into ATGs. I played several games with the one call in at 9 CP and it was fine I just got a couple su76s or 34/76s out to bridge the gap. In: COH2 Balance

After all this is P4 level tank that will come much later now. I would probably say because there's no teching cost required for it? Also the fuel cost for those heavy tanks mean that either (A) - the player sacrificed and midgame by saving to call the heavy tank is ASAP or (B) they are not able to call that tank in right away because they spent fuel already on pIVs etc... it's also less than half the MP cost of a tiger so the ost player is still sacrificing a lot of field presence to get that heavy tank out, even if it unlocks only slightly after the 35/85. For that reason, the double call-in is provided at a discount. The cost of the single call-in T34-85 better represents what its cost would be if it was integrated into the core tech. Bottom line, saving up 240 fuel has an associated opportunity cost; therefore, we provide the user a slight discount to compensate for this factor. I wonder is there a quantifiable means to measure the "opportunity cost" for call ins/units? Or is it kind of guess/check in the beta? Otherwise this makes total sense to me as the single call in you can get on the field quicker and exploit a gap or something and also gives greater flexibility with army composition. Meanwhile waiting for that 240 fuel gives the opponent an opportunity to exploit the fact that you do not have any armor. In: COH2 Balance
