Thread: Thoughts on Panzergrenadiers9 Apr 2019, 13:51 PM Make Pzgrens 300 manpower currently for its lacking utility and choices. I would agree on it being for the way it is currently as it is. But why should it be that much is the question? What are the differences between Penals and Pzgrens Price and performance and accessibility! It has only a bundle grenade, and guys with Stg44. Upgrade option Pzshreks for 100 ammo. It is like comparing exactly to Penals. All SVT semi automatic rifles with Satchel. Upgrade option PTRS 60 that include AT satchel (costs ammo). What is the difference really. SVT (still strong) less stronger than STG44. Penal Squad 6 man is Bigger than 4 man Pzgrens I say that is balanced. Make it 300 manpower. Same counterparts as Penals. Nothing better, nothing worse. What is the major difference really? Because there is no real major differences. Otherwise convince anyone for the way it currently is cuz I think the price is unjust. Even then, Osteehr would still have to consistently heavily rely on Grens since they are a better versatile support unit. Conclusion: Make Panzergrenadiers 300 manpower. It comes later anyway, what is the likelihood of them getting more of those then Grens when that is their only main option in the beginning. It has to be an alternative rather than something that feels too costy and lacking options. It is fair to decrease its price. In: COH2 Balance

You'll see that there is absolutely nothing broken about it. What is broken is the insane vehicle speed. It is insanely fast that it has more than enough time to escape after a single strafe. You can clearly see that in the video. That is what is unfair about it. The speed of the vehicle needs to be nerfed since it is unrealistic and unfair. If you compare the Osteehr one which is much slower, that is fair. I do agree on the fact the investment and cost overall is huge. That it is fair. What I do not think is fair is its blitz or "insane vehicle speed". It SHOULD NOT be able to evade like that quickly, it should be slower than it currently is. In the game, he managed to damage all vehicles Luchs really badly. Even the Panther. That is fine, but the fact he escaped effortlessly every time is what would definitely bug anyone. If you faust it, then the bazooka guys are fine. Just get out of the vehicle and spray more shots onto vehicle, that the mechanic. The Insane Speed mechanic of being to escape and make insanely sharp turns is simply stupid. There should be car accident for something driving that fast!. Is there no accuracy penalty for guys on top of vehicles? Just curious! Since vehicle have moving accuracy penalties, so I wonder. The only thing that needs nerfing on the M3 Halftrack is its insane speed. That is what I find the most disturbing issue. I have engaged a situation like this before and I have managed. Best counter are mines usually and Raketenwerfer and Volks. So I know how to git good or be good. M3 Halftrack speed is cancerous. That is the only issue I find here. I am fine with guys with Bazookas on top of a vechile. But not on Vechile than just evades any opportunity of it getting countered. It always seems to evade easily. Nerf the M3 Haltrack speed only. Thread: Sniper Ideas for USF & OKW9 Apr 2019, 13:23 PM Snipers are fine as it is in game. It is risky, high rewarding gameplay. It is fine as it is. They are supposed to be the way they because that is what they are meant to do. If you manage to flank, you easily take out the sniper. USF (TwistedToosty) vs OKW (VonIvan) Match starts 19:07, ends 01:06:30 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/408191954 Just see how the USF player places guys with AT on top on an insane speedy M3 Halftrack to take out Luchs with more than 4/5 of its health in one go. Is this broken? The USF player used "Mechanized Company" which is pretty OP 1v1. USF player dominates effortlessly with guys on top of vehicles shredding units. It is not historical and is very inaccurate. Speed in with Jeeps etc. They should be support vehicles. Not aggressive kinds. WC51 is pretty strong, since the guys along with guys on top vehicle can just defend it. 25:00. WC51 with guys with submachine guns mow down a squad retreating only covering a distance of 30m before death. VonIvan retreated with 4 man, usually they should survive but they cant against this abusive tactic. It is like an early T70 or Luchs but worse. Check 29:50, how the M3 Halftrack with AT guys on top could have managed to take 2 Luchs out nearly single-handedly. If he had gone for another strafe, 3rd strafe. Speeds in and takes so much of their health. Best AT tanks there is in the game I suppose. Nothing can counter that except with support of Volks which VonIvan fortunately had. Look at the damage Luchs sustained form just 2 goes/tries. Check 35:28, 1 strafe takes 4/5 of its health. That is super unbalanced. Who needs, Puma, AEC, Stuart, Even a Sherman when you have that. check 36:57, speed so quickly, demolishes Luchs Check 41:41, what an exploit, broken, simply unbelievable. So broken, so unbalanced. This is a must see I could go on but you guys understand where I am getting at. It is unfair, unskillful and needs to be looked over. This is the most unbalanced feature I have seen in this game. It is too cost effective for something that deals that much. My idea is to make that vehicle slower than it currently is as "lightning speed". It is insane. The Worst AT vehicle I have ever seen in game. More freaky than AT vehicle there is in game especially for something that comes that early. It does cost a lot to get bazookas but definitely much more worse than an investment in AT that can nearly guaratee a Luchs kill. I am quite sure everyone can agree on that fact. I am not in favour of any faction. I believe this game should require skill rather than using a unit effortlessly without any, with just pure abuse. This is not how this game should be. It should be balanced. No exploitation's of any sorts Devs fix this. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Revamp Volksgrenadiers terms of versatility OKW9 Apr 2019, 02:35 AM I have an idea. The sandbags can only be built by Sturmpios. Therefore it would require OKW to purchase more Sturmpios in order to build more defensive structures and sandbags. That is a step towards decreasing Volks overall versatility. Price, I am not too sure about the change. I did a test, on test mod which was a while ago! Grens default vs Volks default. The answer Grens won which is surprising. (for the sake of comparison and test) With Upgrades is a different story however! I do not think price increase for Volks is a good idea unless they performed better than Grens by default. An idea for Sturmpio Buff Sturmpio accuracy to the way Pzgrens are but should have a bigger target size than them. Reason for this is to create more heavily reliance upon Sturmpio. Sturmpio should also be a good combat unit. Do not get me wrong, it is good but it dies quickly currently while dealing only good enough damage when it closes in, close range only. Mid range it feels kind of bad. Comparing Price and Performance, another test Penals vs Sturmpio both same price Penals won mid and long range most of all the time Sturmpio usually won when it started of at close range. In Conclusion it is currently either you manage to ambush close range or you support it at all times hoping the enemy concentrate on Volks instead. That is how it is. I suggest improving its accuracy a little. OR Just make its "concussion grenade" come vet 1 instead. No buffs. To help close in the gap as an engaging combat unit. Make it use munitions. Another way of seeing it. Otherwise. It should be able to compete at least mid range with Penals which it is quite horrible at. Why do this, is to force OKW to purchase more Sturmpio and to create more reliance upon them. Otherwise Volks will be the dominant force of OKW still. It is not the final thoughts, still in development. My aim is to take away this centred focus of heavily reliance on Volks mainly. As it currently is Volks, Volks, Volks, Volks. It should be more like Volks, Volks, Sturmpio, maybe Sturmpio or Volks. To bring about diversity and broader reliance than something clearly cost effective. The Price of Volks however should stay the same I believe. It just needs to switch up the capabilities a little bit to more diversion. In: COH2 Balance

It's also UKFs anti garrison tool. The combo of UC and Tommy is pretty good, but not nearly as synergistic as sturms and a Kuble. If a UC takes damage it needs to spend muni to repair or wait until sappers hit the field. UC and tommies also puts UKF on the back foot for map control. Follow up infantry are also more expensive. UC is also significantly slower than a Kuble. Adjust the Kuble vet so it can earn it and see where that goes. Full on overhaul very well might not be needed. You want it to suppress? That's in its vet! So is self heal. You really need to stop comparing it to the UC though. It's a more expensive unit designed to augment the UKFs lack of field control and their initial bleed. It's a strong fighter because it's designed to. That's it. It can't scout and it doesn't cap.. Players do build it. I build it and I see it alot in team games because it allows 1 unit to do the back capping of multiple players and still catch up in time to contribute to the initial fight. I've also used it to get behind that pesky starting vickers and pushing off the first unit they built. Putting more AI into the okw starting will make it overbearing and impossible to play against with 2 shock units. Sturms as it is can already dominate the start of the game, let alone with a no bleed, fast, murder machine in tow. You do state correctly the differences between the UC and Kubel. Why they are the way they are. How Kubel buff would make OKW overall more stronger and to ascertain whether these changes would conflict the interests of balance! It should start of with a fix on its veterancy which is its main problem. How low it should be, I am not too sure exactly but for microing the most vulnerable vehicle in game. There should be a lot of reward from that. Here is how I see as a fix of pure diversity, only to change its current Veterancy. Make the Kubel the unit of OKW to obtain its highest vet requirements the fastest. The reason being is the fact that after the 5min mark, it has to be behind as support as it becomes utterly more vulnerable. 1./ Should be rewarding for microing a vehicle that is always vulnerable and for how frequent you have to put it to repairs. I think it should gain vet 5 around a time course of 10min. It is reasonable as it is definitely one of the hardest units to keep alive. Sounds crazy but it would definitely change diversity of the gameplay. OR 2./ If the Vet quick is not such a great idea! Just fix vet, no quick early gains but gets default accuracy buff to provide as a better support unit than it currently is. In this way, the more attractive this option is. It is going to create a kind of gap where they have invested in a Kubel instead of Volks which is its current viable option. Vet 1 "Detection" should go away for something more balanced, vet 1 "extra performance" instead. If it gets either the one of the 2 options, I believe it will not need an MG-upgrade. Maybe even increase price of Kubel if necessary! Kubel should be performing in this way. It does need substantial changes, I think so too. It just needs to fill up its role more. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: State of Tank Balance9 Apr 2019, 00:27 AM Stun ability for Stug is kinda useless. The fact is, nobody uses the ability since it is derelict. I suggest it should get a different ability due to that fact. Nothing too strong but something that would suit it and serve some purpose at least. Currently its stun ability only last 2-3 sec, so there is no real effect in doing this and does 80 damage. The ability is a joke. There is no change/effect, the enemy tank would continue to shoot as it usually does. The stun has no real effect. Pak40 ability which is the same however is fixed and is in a good state. Does 160 damage and the stun serves more purpose. Stug is good overall but the ability needs to be checked or changed! In: COH2 Balance

And the test was to illustrate that the Kuble CAN in fact kill, despite the claim otherwise. It's too difficult to properly singlehandedly replicate an attack using a Kuble and sturms as is what we would face in an actual game. At any rate I don't see anyone else sacrificing any of their time to create tests, just claims. People want to change the Kuble into another AI vehicle in a faction stacked through the ass with AI and are ignoring the balance problems that a Kuble +sturms would create all because they just want it that way. It does not mean Kubel problems should be ignored. You can compare exactly to Brits. Infantry Section combo with UC. That is great AI stacked faction. I do not see the issue in fixing Kubel which it currently experiences. Could one counterclaim this as an issue also, vice versa? OKW does have access to good AI units but it does not mean that Kubel should remain the way it is being lackluster. It needs to do more as a support unit. Compare it to UC which is perfect as a support unit. It should least meet its standards of being able to support or have good DPS which it is currently lacking. Have an MG upgrade option would be good. Change vet 1 ability as "Detection" is considered OP for more combat effectiveness. Why would anyone pick Kubel as it currently is. Definitely not 1v1 and most certainly not any higher. Pros even can elaborate that fact. Kubel should be a glass canon. Strong damage output but weak as it currently is. That should not be a problem for allies to counter it at all. Kubel should not be a derelict choice if it is there. If no changes are made, then I suggest replacing it with another unit if nobody wants to see it changed!. In: COH2 Balance

Although irl a vehicle like this would never engage combat but it is in the game. UC was histrically not used much infantry combat either, more than Kubel of course but it was mainly used for Transportation mainly. It was also used as a support unit because could not ever engage in close distances. Kubel should be for the sake of the game, serve as an AI unit as it initially was. DO NOT BRING BACK THE OLD KUBEL. It has to be better than it currently is. Which faction needs a recon unit in order to win the game. Even then, nobody uses Kubel a recon unit to win the game. Most certainly not. Although some may not consider it the most pressing issue. It is indeed an issue that has not been dealt with care or even with thorough consideration. It needs to serve AI, that is what it has to do. Nobody wants a recon unit or even needs it. Then why does not any other faction have a recon unit too? What it needs to be is a combat unit. Like @Katitof said, what the purpose of the vehicle is historically. It is vulnerable, that is how should be but its overall DPS or damage output needs to be increased. It was implemented in the game as a support unit, it should be that way. Have an MG upgrade option to increase damage, accuracy like what Bren Carrier has. Give it the ability to shoot on the move which it hardly does on vet 1. If not, and if it requires to be stationary. It should excel better than UC. Increase cost of Kubel in order for it get the buffs it needs and deserves. It should be a "glass canon". Has the damage output but it is vulnerable. I do not think it is a problem as UC is a powerful unit with way better armour. Buff Kubel. In Conclusion it should be a proper support unit like UC is. The only downside would there really be then for the Kubel is just its high vulnerability to small arms, and maybe requires it to be stationary. It should not be an issue in buffing this unit at all. It is currently lackluster. Remove vet 1 "Detection" or map hack away for more combat performance instead. OR Vet 1 should be "able to shoot on the move". This will fix the Kubel, plz make this happen. It needs to serve more purpose than just that tiny period. Veterancy needs to be addressed also. In: COH2 Balance

Stuka to T3, Mortar Halftrack in T2, et cetera. However, J4J pointed out that it was essentially just a buff to Mechanized. He then explained in detail how the OKW faction dynamic works: Mechanized pumps out a load of light vehicles to minimise bleed, allowing it to afford late game units and gain a manpower advantage. So I got to thinking, how could you rework Battlegroup to be distinct from Ostheer and from Mechanized, but competitive with both? And I had... ...no ideas. Stick LMG-less Obersoldaten in it, you're making a build that's already too manpower bleedly relative to Mechanized even bleedier. OKW's doctrinal units are all either medium armor or infantry, so you couldn't nab any of them. Grab some Ostheer units like the 250 and MHT? Maybe, but you just end up just giving OKW more stuff. Then I had a crazy idea. I'm still half convinced it's really dumb, but I want to see what ~~J4J~~ everyone thinks. Replace Early Warning Systems in Overwatch Doctrine with the IRHT. Good thematic fit, less insanely powerful than the auto-flares. Replace the IRHT in Battlegroup Headquarters with the Goliath. Goliaths are really loud, much harder to pull off without the Early Warning flares to spot for you, and if you build more than two you're going to be very short on munitions in a munitions hungry faction. They're also only in Battlegroup this way, which means no Luchs, Stuka or Puma, just a munitions hungry Flak HT. But they also don't bleed manpower, they inflict serious manpower bleed on the enemy, and are unlike anything any other faction has. More useful than the IRHT, right? Thoughts? Sounds like a good idea. Goliath sounds interesting by default. Requires skill, to pull the trick off. Costy and Sacrificial. Sounds good to me. Costs 100 ammo. Auto flares is better than IRHT btw.
