I never said they were best fighters at any range, in fact I didn't even use the word "best"
What you wanted to say, without being an ass and putting words in my mouth that is, is "you compared their long range DPS to Penals and 4-man IS" (which is very comparable) and "you also compared their close range DPS to PPSH-Cons" (which, again, is comparable)
Whether or not you consider Penal far DPS/Con close DP to be the good or bad is your thing entirely

Check the DPS curve of the G43s. Stationary they near match Con-PPSh (again, G43s lose out quite a bit at ranges 6-10), on the move (which, surprise, CQB units often are) G43 out-DPS Con-PPsh

otherwise bring shock troops to the fight and see what happens.

Because thats a sensible thing to do (and say), comparing a 280mp generalist mainline to 360mp close-range AI specialist.

Pfusies models drop faster than 4 Man IS behind cover and thus its dps drops linearly with each model killed. But IS are more durable and even more behind cover. Thats why they are "weak".

I was purely comparing their DPS Curve, not intricacies behind PF/IS matchup, that's a completly different issue.

Then you move into the 6 man fragile concept. Again pfusies are fragile meaning their models drop faster than others in the same category.

I didn't know you referred to their RA, and how fast they drop models.
Anyway, do they drop faster than others in their category? Others like what? Penals? (same RA) Rifles? (0.97 RA, basically the same unless you want to split hairs over that 3% difference) throw in some 6-man elites (Paras, Guards) and you'll find 1.0 RA is fairly standard "in their category", definitely not "fragile". "but only you use semantics to twist arguments" XD

So, higher than everage vision and ability to fire flares is not an advantage over regular mainline inf that doesn't have it?

Title, a poll and a thread to discuss about eventual replacements for some abilities and units of the WFA doctrines.

1) Panzerfusiliers

The issue i see with current Panzerfus is that (they hardly feel like elite infantry in terms of stock performances).
They are a 6 men "elite" squad where each single model perform worse than almost any combat unit model at stock performance, but receives big buffs by veterancy.

This despite OKW has already both doctrinal long-mid range "elite" squads and stock elite long range unit.

Each single model performs worse precisely because it's a 6-man squad. Stock Pfusies at long range outgun rifles, volks, and match penals. Sure, the fall-off a bit (a lot actually) at close range because their DPS curve is rather "flat" (very similar to Infantry Section) but they can fix that with a G43s that have SMG-like close range performance, slightly buff mid-range and have no penalty to long range DPS and they take no slots. Oh and they come with grenades, snares, good vision and flares.

Secondly, thay are hardly considered "elite", they are more like "premium mainline", and thats how they are balanced,

if you want fussies as a recon specialist thats still an option. they effectively DID make a new unit AND left fussies as they are as an option. if you want fussies as exist you can have them, if you want AT fussies you can have them too!

Not with all the changes required to make them work, I really feeel like this is going to break team games with AT-inf spam (and possibly force more nerfs further on). And what the other commander with Pfussies? Suddenly your JT has all the AT-Inf required to cover it from flanking vehicles, yet again, possibly forcing more changes.

Blob of 2 squads AT fuzziliers and 2 g43s fuzziliers will be the issue mostly in teamgames, especially 4v4 where the ammo income is really high. It's unlikely it will have anyinpact on 1v1 gamemode. Let's notice that the general cost of upgrading those 4 fuzzliers is equal 420 ammo.

I'm sure they'll still be blobbed in team games, but at least it will limit that in 1v1 & 2v2.
Other than that the changes to them are great and makes them much more useful and interesting.

OR we could not break 3/4 of gamemodes, especially after all the work done in order to get them balanced, just so we can turn a perfectly good AI-scouting mainline squad into heavy AT squad for no reason, IMO Fusies should stick to what they are: premium mainline, not an AT squad
AT MOST they should get 2x Pzb39, with Guard-PTRS stats if necessairy.

2 Schrecks maybe strong...but 1 schreck is really to weak.
why not make schreck in line with other handheld AT? or give them 2 AT rifles..

Make it in line how? by chopping off 40 damage or pen? Again, it's literally the best handheld AT in the game. There's a reason why it only comes on expensive 4-man squads.
I agree with the AT rifles though.

I like how all this bois cry when axis get a lil love to their hand-AT situiation...they are now in a postions you have no well Handheld AT. Schrecks overall are bad..because misses unless you come in near combar under 20 range...and aim a target which doesnt move. than yes...they are good...but sadly schrecks are only available on 4model squads with high price tag.

and than you look to alies..which all get access to handheld AT on nearly ALL infantry with zooks or piats. even on the cheapest squads...and yes..you can have this on 5 or even 6 model squads.

and this AT weapons hit at higher range...

so yes: better handheld AT for axis...so allies cant cheese around anymore with armor

I know you're as thick a wehraboo as it gets, but come on man, we've been there and done that already, there is a reason why Volks have STGs on them instead

"Schrecks are bad" - XD, I'm sorry but if the best handheld AT in the game is bad, then there's nothing more to discuss

People are willing to spam PGrens with shrecks so they can delete most allied medium tanks with 1 volley I wonder what will happen if they can do that with 250mp squad that has SPRINT.

PFussies are a pure AI "premium mainline" with bonus vison and I'd rather have them stay that way
Maybe they should just be a 1CP call in, or buildable from T0 after first truck has been deployed, with G43 upgrade locked behind CP2

If they are to have an AT option (which i don't like), they should get PzB39 or 2 at most, and no tellers.
