Thanks for the info. Have you played Men of War? That would seem to be even more similar, and I'm worried a lot of the problems I had with that title will apply to Steel Division as well.
1v1 balance is quite good overall, though you could say that not enough strategies are viable. It's funny hearing people talk about 2.601 like they forgot that Pak Sniping existed.
I think this would have been the inevitable end of any patch that lasted 4+ years. People get comfortable using mass snipers. They really needed some attention and they didn't get it.
Had it disabled since I want to support you guys, but I'm getting crippling slowdown from the google ad scripts in Firefox. Could be entirely on my end, but I thought I'd let you guys know.
This is only a continuation of the trends started in DoW2. Moving away from the positional-based gameplay of CoH towards the ability-based gameplay associated with MOBAs.
In fact I'm worried they've gone so far that I'll care more about positioning in Dota2 than I will in DoW3.
Well there are already games like Verdun and Ro2 for a more realistic approach. Even if all they do is take the WW1 setting and paste it onto the Battlefield system I'll be pretty hyped, since it means we're done with modern warfare games for the time being.
