A supported AA Flak Truck works fairly well. |
Always thought Obers were meant to be the SS. |
dude, you compared sturms to RET, you are crazy, I'm pretty sure sturms beat RETs in any range and sturms are excellent against 95% infantry on this game and now they even have very decent vet bonuses.
that being said RETs can't be stronger than they are now, they already do a lot (mines, defenses, can pick up 2 weapons, have 5 man vet and very good repair time).
Sturms also have a price tag of 320 manpower. And they are good early game until vet up and then they start to taper off late game. |
Thing is, the reinforcement cost is in line with bolster, which they are expected to have 100% of the games.
Also there is one, maybe two axis squads who do NOT have that mp reduction, so I don't think single units across 3 allied factions having it due to sniper vulnerability is any problem.
Source: "Trust me bro, I could save a replay, but I was too busy crying"
Also, at your rank, it could be 5 combat engineers and result would be the same for you.
Ooh, ooh, you hurt my feelings. Ooh, muh rank sucks. Reeeeeeeee.
...Relax, was just saying the IS buff really caught me at how effective they are.
Don't mind it. Brits have been needing a boost for awhile. Hardly saw them in 1v1 games, now I will. |
I have played as Ost against Brits post patch. Was doing well early game, was sniping vicker models and steadily getting map control.
My opponent sends me a text: lol, good game. Out comes 5 IS that completely wrecks my stuff.
So I got rofl stomped, lol. |
Why give a bar initially to a weaker unit, it is better to give it an Rifleman. I practically did not see that in rating games or in tournaments someone would give the echelon the bar, enough to give it to the Rifleman.
...Guy who complains about RE's not having powerful weaponry now complains about giving RE's powerful weaponry. |
Sure. Do you really think me so stupid? But why should this be an obstacle. A lieutenant can also buy a bazooka without racks. But you can ignore this moment. I suggested only one of the options.
Their cost is 200mp, and you can get them Tier 0. They are actually more cost efficent than say, Sturmpioneers because of the MP difference, and it costs 75 muni to give them one schrek. The advantage they have is their close range DPS, which is nullified by Volley Fire.
Get assault engineers if you want sturmpios. RE's are more for capping/defense purposes. |
Guess you've never seen Rear Echelon use Volley Fire or have Double Bazookas, have you?
You want to use a US Engineer with balls, use Assault Engineers. They can wipe quite easily early game and can be upgraded with Flamethrowers.
I actually cringe when I see assault engineers bum rush my non-upgraded grens. Four men squads are rather squishy.
Honestly, of all things that annoy me, Volley Fire really irritates me because it can suppress my MG42's in the right situation. But I shrug and go, 'Eh, L2P better, Sp33dSnake'. |

Honestly, I've hardly used Panthers lately. I've used 2 STUGs with a Ostwind or Brummbarr andvthat's usually been enough. |
Thread: (H)MG34 13 Apr 2020, 13:15 PM
This is not correct. The lower rate of fire versions of the MG 34 had a lower rate of fire than the MG42. There were 600rpm, 800, 1000, 1200, 1500 and 1800 rpm versions of the 34.
Rate of fire could be altered very simply by manipulating the spring.
Early versions had adjusters that could go from 400-900 rpm.
The later 1800 RPM was primarily used for antiaircraft use, as an increased rate of fire made hits on a fast moving target like a fighter plane more likely.
As stated earlier, the MG42 was adopted because it essentially did the same thing an MG34 did, but for reduction in both cost and time to fabricate.
The same stamping machinework was utilized for the Stg/MP44 assault rifles.
