Thread: Are they not fixing heavies?7 Feb 2020, 16:22 PM Tiger RoF with vet is certaintly scary. Theres a tightrope replay lately where a vet 5 one just drives around wiping everything with like 60 or 70kills. Unless you've got massed Jackson's and some crazy AEC and FF micro skills it's pretty hard to counter in team games. KT is just kinda trash in comparison to vet command tiger, and that's simply down to inferior RoF and mobility. Stuff like armour and health mean very little, RoF is king. Hence why old vet 3 Pershing was a monster. Honestly I have no issue with these tanks coming early if they weren't so crazy strong and mediums had a chance at penetrating more than half their shots. Right now you could charge a tiger with three Sherman's and still lose. In: COH2 Balance

LV's are not THAT much of a threat if you go vanguard One ATG or AEC is usually enough vs Ost. But vs OKW who can pump out a puma after the luch for AEC delete button it can be a struggle. You really have to be careful as Brits around that timing and unit placement with (your usual one building up to two sapper squads as he says). PIATS are not easy afford that early with healing, possible WASP and pyro draining muni. Brits are not soviets that swim in munition early. So yes imo the glider timing could be looked at, if it's going to be building units 2cp is fair game. Otherwise pop out commando squad at 3cp is ok In: Lobby

This is not just aimed at vipper, but everyone ITT. When preview patches don't get enough testers we end up with a situation last time (UKF nerfed into the floor and already strong soviets buffed even stronger). The balance team has put the effort in building a new patch so it's our duty to test it. As for the assault officer his voicelines and model are great, as such deserves to be a nondoc unit just due to the lack of unique voice lines and infantry models Brits have compared to other factions. Having everything just using Tommy skins and voice lines is incredibly stale and boring. In: Lobby

And I don't see how it's OP when it required microing a squad outside of the blob but apparently USF barfinders and grenade smoke is fine? Even with the minor UKF buffs American infantry options are way better on offense to frontally nuke MGs. Similar issues exist with vet T70 that is cheesed for LoS in almost every game. 222 and utility car also provides good non doc recon while AEC and UC provide nothing. Pyro sections are there to spot and support your MGs in a similar role to pios (similar to pio you have one or two squads max). Then there's the point BARS and StGs/g43s are just better for blobbing and chasing down units than brens that need to be stationairy while perfectly in cover to provide reliable DPS. Really do some testing with Bren Tommies OUT of cover and you'll be surprised of how bad their DPS is. In: Lobby

Thread: jackson armor nerf27 Jan 2020, 15:08 PM The m10 should be the unit to chase and dive. Jackson shouldn't be able to chase any better than a SU85 or firefly can. IMO nerf the Jackson turret rotation, give it moving accuracy on par with other TDs and revert the price change to make it slightly cheaper. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: USF Scott and Pak howitzer nerfs achieved nothing26 Jan 2020, 04:11 AM I think all indirect mortar type weapons could use a damage and accuracy buff to the barrage. Autofire could see further nerfs, but current lethality of most mortars is trash unless you're clearing buildings. If I invest in a mortar I should not have to wait for the third or fourth shot of the barrage for it to actually hit anything. It's incredibly frustrating, especially with specialist doctrinal units like 120mm or doctrinal Brit mortar. You could even bring back the USF light mortar design with substantial buffs to barrage. Kind of make it hit hard, nerf range so it requires just as much micro as an MG with repositioning and packup. The main gripes with old mortars was not lethality, but more you could set it up behind lines and ignore it while auto fire gave you the odd gren wipe. So basically they required zero micro.
