The DPS of the squad was increased. The mosin become: a) more consistent in its damage out put b) It had its DPS increased The DPS was changed. Yeah, by 0.1-0.5 around at mid-close ranges. It's a joke and Conscripts lost ability to snap off models at close range due to 16 damage becoming > 12 making them actually worse at close ranges. It was never meant to be buff in any meaningful way, in fact inrease of munitions of basic abilities and PPSh upgrade ended up making Cons borderline worse than they were before "buff" In: COH2 Balance

Miragefla and Mr. Smith turned the idea down, because then we would have DP-28 Conscript blobs that are essentially just as lethal as any LMG42 Grenadier, LMG34 Obersoldaten, M1919A6 Riflemen, or M1919A6 Paratrooper blob (just use quantity to overcome quality) but more durable, have a Molotov, have an AT snare, cheap to reinforce, and can Oorah away from or around HMGs. I would argue that the LMG42 upgrade for Osttruppen is acceptable because they receive a 50% accuracy penalty outside cover, making it worse than a single DP-28 outside of cover. And giving Conscripts placebo-effect buffs like those pointless fiddling with damage of their Mosins without actually changing it's DPS totally worked out and Conscripts became useful? Funny how Osttrupen ended up having better scaling into late game thanks to their LMG than Cons. Hell even Brit engineers have better scaling into late game thanks to flamethrower or armor/vickers upgrade they have. You know something is wrong when engineer units with nearly same reinforcement cost ends up better than core infantry of another faction In: COH2 Balance

What if I told you that said booby trap is a new doctrinal ability for Sov and only usable by engineers who already have mines (which are cheaper and deal more casualties) and actual demos? That feel when overnerfing Sov doctrinal stuff now backfires onto Axis In: COH2 Balance

Conscript design is flawed because they have utter joke as weapons and no weapon upgrades to compensate for that. When Gren/Volk blob comes around and just slaughters all your Cons all that received accuracy and 6 man sized squad does not matter since YOU are bleeding and enemy is not. No idea what "attrition warfare" is supposed to mean but Conscripts clearly suck at it since they deal zero damage back due to lack of weapon upgrades and no amount of bonus RA at vet3 changes that. Thread: IS2- Is it worth buying?7 Dec 2018, 12:48 PM I think biggest flaw of that thing is it default 40 range. It would be fine if overloaded vet2 range bonus moved to vet0, same goes for Tiger and its bizzare 45 default range, its just more painful for IS-2 due to Panther spam. In: COH2 Balance
