I tried in the past to give the suppressor sound to MP40 and fail. It is- guns can only make the sounds assigned to them. However, you can spawn the other gun underneath the soldier and have it play the sound. For instance, you can make an Enfield launch rifle grenades, but it's silent, so you can spawn a K98k to make the sound. I doubt that would work for automatic weapons, but I haven't actually tried yet, so maybe? In: Modding and Tools
Thread: Lee Enfield sound issue. 25 Jun 2019, 20:39 PM Welcome! This is a strange issue that I also ran into with the Enfield. The weapon's other sounds work, but not shooting, right? The solution I came up with is kind of a cheat; under the weapon's "on_fire_action" section, you can add a sound action of the rifle firing. There are all these weird remnants of old systems and design decisions that aren't brought up-to-date. The commander revamps have been good, but the game still feels disjointed. If that amount of damage is ok, then a veterancy rate nerf with SVTs would make them scale at a more reasonable pace. In: COH2 Balance

Is that from .2 to .75 or is it 1-to-5 changed into 1.5-to-2? It's the minimum and maximum length of the burst in seconds. So, instead of the burst being 1 to 5 seconds long, it's 1.5 to 2 seconds long. EDIT: the previous value was actually 1 to 2 seconds, so it looks like the 5 was a typo. The bursts are now longer and more consistent. In: COH2 Balance
