Thread: Feedback on UI changes of the game10 Aug 2019, 03:40 AM Very good changes there. I don't think I replied before, but I agree that the Repair Kit and DShK icons are much too saturated. Nice changes for the Tigers, too. I was thinking, though- a lot of other commander abilities that affect a certain squad have the squad's icon in the upper right corner (like Defensive Operations). So, here's an idea for the Conscript Repair Kit- This is a rough mockup. It uses an alternate version of the repair icon (like Defensive Operations). The wrench's head behind the Conscript icon looked bad. In: Lobby
Thread: Soviet Lendlease rework5 Aug 2019, 17:55 PM I think the Universal Carrier would be an interesting addition to the Soviet faction like this: 0cp, 210mp, 10fu call-in or built at HQ. Can be upgraded with Vickers for Suppressing Fire. Vet 2 reduces Suppressing Fire cost, or repair speed if not upgraded. Self-heal removed. Soviet commanders have very few beginning-of-game abilities. A UC adds another dimension to the T1 vs. T2 choice- it can provide either transportation or suppression, one of which you would normally have to sacrifice. In: COH2 Gameplay

Instakilling tanks is for youtube compilations, not engaging play/counterplay. The lower damage and stuns require you to follow up on the strike, and help you do so. Much better design. I would make it more consistant vs infantry even if the dmg vs infantry has to be lowered. It can get a good rng rolls and murder a clumped up squad, and it can get a terrible roll and do nothing. Part of that issue is that it has 80 damage rather than the 40 that similar vehicles have. It gets a damage penalty vs infantry to avoid one-shotting them, but it also has a slow reload to prevent it from being too good against vehicles or buildings. So, lower damage and faster reload would be helpful for consistency. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Combined Arms23 Jul 2019, 21:02 PM I think Combined Arms is a bit too expensive. The lack of synergy it has in Heavy Cavalry Company is also disappointing. Speaking of exclusive modifiers, it appears that Ostheer Ambush Camouflage is also set to Exclusive: True. I haven't tested it yet, but it could mean that the ability does almost nothing at Vet 2 and above. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Why all the hate for riflemen?7 Jul 2019, 17:39 PM I think Riflemen are kind of awkward because they have a power spike at 3m. They're good if they're hugging the enemy, but it's not very intuitive that semi-auto rifles work best at a shorter range than SMGs. In: COH2 Gameplay

The RoF stat is not tied to the weapon's animation; the Maxim actually already has a super high RoF at close range. For flame/damage resistance, that may be a good option if it only applies to the soldier manning the gun. That way, it affects the squad's health less, and may mean fewer death loops if the other soldiers die easier. Oh, and it would have to only apply when stationary or when there's more than 1 guy left. In: COH2 Balance
