Rak back to 50 range instead of 55, 4 men instead of 5, and 260mp instead of 270mp.
When’s this clown getting banned?
Well we can't all be Third Reich aficionados. |
I think they should mostly just revert the Raketen back to what it was with the exception of removing it's cloak while moving and maybe taking 10 MP off it's cost to compensate. |
Been playing Ost and I have to say I think right now the Grenadiers work the best as a "mainline" infantry. They cost very little and require no side techs and no vet for abilities. Volksgrenadiers used to be the best but after this last patch it seems like Grens have taken the mantle.
I don't consider Riflemen all that good because they are the least cost-efficient infantry unit in the game. Too expensive for their initial cost, too expenisve and time consuming for weapon rack upgrades, snare locked behind vet which isn't a quick process for them to vet up. They're really not that good when you factor in these extremely high costs. Most USF units have a very high cost but I think Riflemen have among the highest cost-benefit radio of any unit.
Tommies used to be the best Allied mainline infantry but the balance team took care of that last patch.
Consripts are probably the best Allied mainline right now with that 7th man upgrade. Takes a while to get there but once they do they are a pretty tough late game unit.

Been playing a little bit of Ostheer lately and I'm liking the Tiger. I wanted to get some opinions on the tanks listed above because they're roughly equivalent "jack of all trades" heavy call ins.
Not going to include the Tiger Ace because that's kind of in a class of it's own.
I don't recall if the IS2 got a buff recently or not but it's been maligned for a while as being greatly inferior to the Tiger. I have the least experience with the IS2 myself. Pershing is excellent and so is the Tiger, in fact it's hard to decide which one I like better. |
Ostheer's got no light tank. That's part of its design, and means it needs to field infantry counters to light vehicles.
The best one it has against lights is Panzershreck PGrens, but these are 100 munitions. If you're on the back foot, that can be a problem.
If I recall correctly, Relic's previous solution to this was to make the Panzerschreck upgrade two parts: you'd buy one Panzershreck for half the cost, then you'd buy the next. This created an inevitable problem of one-Panzershreck PGren blobs, so they got bundled together.
But that ability to buy lesser AT for less munitions and fully upgrade later was a neat feature that could be worth bringing back.
- What if PGrens could get two Panzerbusche AT rifles (they're in the campaign) for 50 munitions? They're much less effective than shrecks, but they do the job on the cheap.
The PGrens could then upgrade those AT rifles to Panzerschrecks for another 50 munitions.
Poor OST doesn't have a light vehicle. It just means they rush a medium faster than everyone else and have more AT abilites than any other faction. Not really seeing the problem here? |
Nothing stupid here, since we were friends and allies in this war.
I am interested, did Americans and British asked for our most modern tanks, like T-34-85 or IS-2 for same investigations, like was with M26?
I know only about tests with KV-1 and T-34. Even saw the information, that British did have plans for producing T-34 on their factories (!!!), but it never happened. Credits to Crecer13 for this source: https://warspot.ru/13725-tridtsatchyotverka-na-gastrolyah
Maybe but the US refused to supply the Soviet Union with heavy bombers. Supposedly the USSR requested about 200 B17s and around another 250 B24 Liberators and the request was denied by the United States. |
And for M36. In the game, just by visually seeing it, since it has a bore evacuator, it is almost guaranteed that it should be M36B2. However, it is a very rear variant being seen in WWII, though. So, to the best I can guesss, Relic might intend to make a normal M36 yet, however, got the wrong source picture.
And also, just a kind reminder, M1 57mm is not completely the same as the 6 pounders. M1 has a longer barrel than the early production 6 pdr. However, in the game, since the 6 pdr is a late war variant one, they both have the same length barrel.
Only difference I can see between the M1 57mm and 6 pdr AT gun is the muzzle break on the 6 pdr. |
USA may have paid for 50 000 shermans, but they surely didn't produce that many. Neither there was a need for that many in europe, nor in pacific. This figure was probably written in the reports just to scare soviet army that was much stronger than allied forces in europe by the end of war.
No the US did not produce 50,000 Shermans. It was 49,234 with the last one rolling off the assembly line in July 1945 before tank production was scaled way back and only the Perishing continued to be produced. |
USSR get 1 M26 in april 1945 for testing. Source: https://warspot.ru/9851-tank-tyazhyolyy-ponevole (include screns of soviet documents about M26 and his photo in Kubinka)
The US sent the Soviets a Pershing in mid-1945? That was a stupid thing to do. |
I knew it was a pretend Tiger. The road wheels looked all wrong. I just couldn't identify the suspension.
Spotted on the George Washington Bridge about to cross into NYC.
I am glad it came out. Snapping photos while driving 30mph in traffic isn't the best condition for photography.
Yeah the road wheels look too much like something on a more modern tank. |
