But it is fast in everything, even vet up! Im thinking. same thing. Remove the jackson pen and rof vet bonus. Instead vet2, hvap rounds damage 200 -> 240 and a faster cooldown. This scales against heavies in that time frame. At the same time panther vet2 armor is also scaling fairly against jackson normal rounds. Why is it fair Jackson vet can negate a more costly panther vet scaling? This is also switchable ammo in a sense. At vet3, give jackson the same spotting scopes stats and heavy crew repairs free. I know some will say how about heavy JT,KT,Elefant. Eh, you know jackson is cheaper and can flank with greatest moving accuracy? Questions to mod team, why P4 needs hard work against churchill? Why Jackson have easier work against doctrinal limited Axis heavy? Why panther have hard work against IS2? Come on, why Jackson should be sooo cost efficient? Convince us why Jackson is in best spot now? Besides axis heavies are already so slow in rof and targetting and rotating. Jackson is in the best spot right now because it prevents the Axis player from running roughshod over USF with his medium and heavy armor which are otherwise too readily available. This forces the Axis player to depend on other infantry and crewed weapons (which are also readily available) rather than using their otherwise superior armor as a crutch. In: COH2 Balance

I'm sure if we give you enough time and maybe 2 or 3 lifelines even you can figure it out. You expect every single unit to do exceptionally against every target. That's not how it works. WHEN the E8 was good at both AI and AT at the same time it overshadowed both the sherman and the Jackson. That's bad design You are supposed to complement your lineup with doctrinal units not replace them out right. Want AI? Get the m4 Want AT? Get the e8 Want it both at the same time? Tough shit. Try combined arms. An AT focused tank that can't reliably penetrate anything beyond a Panzer 4J and is worse than the much cheaper 76mm Sherman with HVAP rounds? Really? The Easy 8 was much better a couple years ago then they nerfed its scatter in one of the patches back in 2017 or early 2018. They don't necessarily have to improve the scatter, they could give it WP rounds as an alternate ammunition type. In: COH2 Balance

OkWs P4 is the best anti-infantry medium tank the game has, it's probably tied with the Comet as best all around standard tank. In: COH2 Balance

The only change it will effect is panzer4s and pumas realistically. All the other units ALREADY pen it with ease to the point you could lower the armour to 1 and these units chance to pen would be unchanged. If you sre going to whine at least try having numbers support it. So again here is the question no one wants to answer: Why should a Panzer 4 and Puma be able to take on something beyond their weight class like a Jackson? In: COH2 Balance

Realistically indirect fire and fighter MGs should kill it. Agreed that it’s not realistic. Jacksons were later supplied with a 1/2 inch thick steel top cover. Some even had a bow mounted MG. Range to 50 - Get it in Range of other waepons and tanks - no more safe first strikes - Heavy Tanks an Med can fight back while Jackson has the same Firepower - More likely to get shots from Pak 40 and Raketen 3. nerf of pen, acc and rof pretty simple... 4. the glascannon reduce its Armor and Health significant. - it shouldend be a no brainer to use this TD pretty simple... I think having a toggle of some kind could possibly be a solution; high pen, long range but with reduced ROF versus default which is lower pen, normal rate of fire and reduced range with a four second duration before being able to switch - toggling interrupts reload etc. Okay here we go: All crying Axis players agree the Jackson needs a nerf...so what? Explain to me why you think a 120 fuel, 340 MP (or 140 fuel for the better one) multi-use medium TANK should be able to take on a 145 fuel 400 MP single-purpose TANK DESTROYER? Get a grip. The balance team has already seen fit to wet nurse the Axis player base by handing out HMG42s, Panzergrens, Obers, Fallschrimjagers (you know, the stuff that comes WAY too early) along with non-doctrinal heavy Armor like King Tigers and Panthers. If the balance team wants to do that fine. But doing that while nerfing Brits into the ground and now possibly the Jackson, it would be a laughably biased move. Some of the things I've read here recently just make me cringe. Some of you people think a Puma should counter a Jackson. Seriously, WTF? Thread: An idea to buff G43 rifles for grens30 Jan 2020, 04:02 AM G43 Grens are probably the best 45 munition weapon upgrade in the game and it goes on a 240 MP unit. Cavalry Riflemen have to pay that just for a single satchel. USF or UKF doesn't have anything even close to that cost effective. You have to pay 150 MP, 15 fuel, retreat back to your base, pay another 120 munitions just to give your infantry a chance against LMG42 Grens and Panzergrens as it is. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: The Brits need a new elite or semi-elite infantry unit.22 Jan 2020, 04:30 AM Ever since the decision to nerf infantry sections straight to hell the Brits have been left with only commandos as a decent infantry unit. I don't know if there is any difference between infiltration commandos or glider commandos but they seem to be more or less the same thing, and the ALO is also essentially the same thing just with 4 men instead of 5. I want to like assault sections but they really are too weak to be that effective of a CQB unit. Their firepower and abilities are good, but they melt too fast against actual CQB units. Flamethrower REs...a joke. I am convinced they need a 6 man Paratrooper sqaud armed with Lee Enfields upgradable with either 3 scoped Enfields for long range accuracy or 4 Thompson SMGs. They should be as tough as Rangers. They could use the ALO skin or a modified version with a British para helmet if possible. In: COH2 Balance
