All will survive at least two full bursts while in no cover. actually i get the dynamic here... even if the sov sniper takes longer to kill the 4 man squad... a shot already takes off 75% of its firepower... since snipers have to move on the reload and not stay static the full advantage of the higher ROF for the OST sniper cannot be taken advantage of... especially with a penal build... BUT a conscript build is soo bad it cannot fully take advantage of this... i think cons need to be reworked with PPS-43 or go cheaper to some 220mp to become viable... In: COH2 Balance

And I dont understand the logic behind how Soviet sniper is inferior at killing 4 man squads, than Ost killing 6 man squad. You snipe a gren model, and the squad is only 75% effective. You snipe a penis battalion model, and the squad is still 83-84% effective. penis batallion XD but yeah i get the point... In: COH2 Balance

Thread: moving the soviet sniper flare to vet 022 Dec 2018, 10:37 AM what do you guys think of moving the soviet sniper flare to vet 0? afaik the soviet sniper is inferior at killing 4 man squads than the ost sniper is at killing 6 man squads... this is understandable as ost is supposed to have the best support weapons... however the soviet sniper simply has no redeemable qualities to it ever since it was nerfed from its original 2 man size and has become vulnerable to lots of battlefield baddies (OP) JLI and the 221 scout car... giving it a vet 0 flare allows the soviet sniper to perform a more utilitarian role to the more combat oriented ostheer sniper... It only unlock its ability. Please play more games before commenting. the loss of COH2 hu has impacted my stat collection... i can neither confirm nor deny this... if i am mistaken in my assessment then fine... but it doesnt change anything... giving the 221 easier access to vet 1 gives it smoke... it can disengage from bad situations while still providing healing mind you you are not exempt from mistakes aswell since you stated the M3A1 costs 5 fuel when it costs 15... also regardless the 221 is turreted and can chase the m3a1 more reliably than the m3a1 can chase the 221.... and is perfect for chasing down retreating squads snipers etc... i reliably use the 221 to kill penal battalions retreating on low HP... At least, for what it does, it does much better than the KT. The polls I put up got enough responses to be statistically significant, they also show that a large percentage think the IS-2 is fine, and that the KT is trash. So, call me a noob all you want, but I'm no psychic able to determine when a single is2 is going to wipe a vet 5 JLI squad from max range, with their 0.57 target size and all. Seems more like bad luck. The fact still stands, the KT sucks. the first statement is complete bullshit... the IS-2`s gun actually doesnt get wipes consistently and although it kills a model or 2 its low rate of fire means jack shit also if you had JLI near an IS-2 then thats your fault for sucking also statistically significant at what level of confidence? did you apply a chi square to this or something or is this just bullcrap? lastly note that even if it is statistically significant there are reasons as to why people think the IS-2 is fine the only real reason is: you dont need tech to get it <=== timing is very important in COH 2... the fact that i can get an IS-2 out for a lower cost than a T-34-85 or a T-34 means i can dominate the game far earlier than you can... if the KT were moved to doc and was a callin without tech it might actually be a good idea to get it...
