This would be no different from OKW's early game against an M3. also mind you okw can get the rakaten and opt for t1 instead of T2... sov only has a shoot my lategame in the foot option PTRS penal or suffer until guards come out... t2 on the other hand just dies UKF also just dies... soo yeah no the 221 is actually good... if anything needs changing its the vet... Penals are over performing and the su85 is overperforming. Brits had a massively high winrate when advanced cancer and land cancer came out, once they were nerfed they completely fell off the map. Cheese =/= a balanced faction penals are overperforming yeah... but the SU-85? i can think of a few things that overperform more that the SU-85 (cough jackson) and most of the time the real breadwinner for soviet AT in the tournament was guards + zis 3 + SU-76... the SU-85 itself was a bit more rare In: COH2 Balance

Every faction isn't named Soviet and last time I checked SU still had the highest winrate even with their "bad commanders" every faction is playable with bad commanders except soviet... bad commanders were not brought into GCS as sov cant survive with them... Stug will lose to T34 because T34 could out run Stug. a stug is very vulnerable to being circlestrafed by T-34s even when retreating... mind you the M3 has trouble chasing targets as chasing means only the crew inside is firing unless the M3 is directly pointing at the target... which may not always be the case Jump back to quoted post23 Dec 2018, 17:59 PMaddvaluejack 221 is not 223, it can not secure resource or detect vehicles, it can only dispatch medic. And the problem here is OKW's starting unit could dispatch medic, too. its recon... look at its view range... it also gets smoke by vet 1 and its turret is great for chasing down lone and retreating squads squads... its also the direct counter to the soviet sniper coming at a time when sov simply has no AT counters available... also thats another point... sov has no AT counters at this point while OKW can get the rakaten... the closest equivalent to the sov situation would be to remove the rakaten from T0 and expect OKW to even hold a point against the M3... later in the game that overall fuel cost is useful anyways because the car becomes an OKW cache with armor.... And a M3 with a squad of PTRS penal or Guard could be deadly to Ost's Halftrack, too. if the terrain results in a retreating squad moving through shifting terrain then its actually the 221... the flamethrower is not the best vs retreating units and the DPM of the M3 is entirely dependent on terrain... JLI + volks + jagdpanzer + rakaten = cancer... also mind you JLI`s are a force multiplier with their 70% crit guns... pair them with volks and they will outperform obers for the same price... the crit MUST go below 50%... or nerf the price of JLI and reinforce up to 340 + increase to CP6 In: COH2 Balance

Many here talk so, like soviets are hopeless underpowered and need this stronger and that cheaper, the lost gren can be easier replaced and such things. If the stats would be the other way round you could talk about it, but so, you have to be careful to make soviets not even stronger with all this proposals, or at least make some other unit, like penals, weaker in exchange. I already recommended a penal nerf to volks clone mosins-260 mp with an optional dp and ptrs upgrade... In: COH2 Balance
