Final version has middle North building rotated so north and south have equal access to enter building.

A few major changes were made and many small ones.

1. The middle VP was in Red Cover so arty splat was placed to give yellow cover.


2. The right industrial area was on a large hill which would allow units to shoot under the walls. Hill was smoothed out and gates were added for eye candy since it was more level now. Truck positions were changed to allow for better flanking on large brick buildings.


3. Mine field area was cleaned up to let large AT guns path thru the barb wire, etc. Sturmpanther suggested moving dead tanks closer to VP so they were moved a little. An MG will not cover the VP from these positions.


4. Territory connections were wrong/imbalanced. North needed multiple connections to its munitions. South had two connections. Balanced so both have two connections to munition.


5. This map had HUGE hills everywhere. Most were smoothed out a lot. This left many floating trees. Spent hours fixing trees. Stroked out and head butted monitor.


6. The left barn was rotated and sight blockers were added/adjusted so it was closer balanced to the south building. A few sight blockers were added to the upper mid area as well, there were none and the south is full of them.


7. Added some cover to new mid building to pretty it up.


A few of the hedge/fence lines were cleaned up. There were places that looked like they may be fenced but were not, shrubs were removed to make it clear no fence was there and it was passable.

The main hedge splat had alternating sight blockers. So sections had sight block, no sight block, sight block, no sight block. Added sight blockers to middle sections so user does not get shot thru what appears to be a sight blocker.

Added a few extra sight blockers by south road where the hill was steep enough to cause serious FOW issues. In the worldbuilder the road could not see the hill but the hill could see the road.

While putting together the final files I noticed there are huge hills everywhere

Smoothed over many hills, ditches, mounds, etc in final version (Not posted).

Does the system work with other games?

I would try Vertical Sync (V sync) on. The purpose of V sync is to minimize screen tearing as you are trying to update the image on the screen before it is done drawing it. So you get discontinuity lines on the screen. Should never go black though.

I do not have experience with the different monitor syncs from AMD/nVidia so not sure if screen blackout is possible. Quick search shows people getting black screens when using FREESYNC in various games.

EDIT: Looks like your monitor supports FREESYNC to 1ms according to Newegg. nVidia would not use it since their version is G-Sync. AMD uses FreeSync. That is where I would start.

New version is out (6) Rzhev Rosbone (v3)

1. Fixed bases so pershing can exit anywhere in base. Did not take as much as I thought it would to get it working. Mostly just readjusted the base bunkers. Base bunkers are a nightmare. each faction has different bunkers. And even in the same faction, the bunkers are not always where you put them.

FOR COH3:
Would be nice if base defenses had a much larger shooting distance. The bunker ARC makes them better for being placed in the rear of the base. However, they do not shoot far enough to cover the USF base.

2. Removed a house (BLUE). It overlooked the base and the new MG bunker placement. Added hedge sight blockers so remaining house cant shoot into the base(RED). Added tree and hedge so base bunker does not shoot into the remaining building(RED).


3. Added a new path out of the north base (YELLOW) and added sight blockers to reduce the base MGs shooting into the play area (RED).


4. Found more hills and smoothed them. They are everywhere...
