The "core devs"? You mean clown car sniper, 3000 hp Tigers, Konigskubel? Needing to hug fireplaces, units moving at crawling speed, trip wire flares being 10 muni wipes, invis demo charges. I have never seen such utter stupidity in a forum post, not even from Esxile, not even from rank 4000 4v4 mains on Steam or Relic forums. When only BraindeadSecretary echoes your sentiment you know you've said the most idiotic thing in the world. COH2 playability has been utter dogshit from release and at every point it was being managed by Relic's team. No one will agree with all of the balance team's decisions, but they have done a lot of work to make the game actually playable. COH2 went from a game that had a crappy campaign (and a decent DLC one after a few years) to having actual multiplayer with even the weakest factions having 43%ish win rates in all game modes. The "original devs" were the ones who saddled us with Brits' no-snare philosophy, emplacement cancer, p2w commanders with crazy OP abilities that got tuned down, USF nonsense tech structure, cancer-pizza base, OKW's originally unplayable resource design. Imagine shilling for those guys, who made the most unplayable piece of crap ever designed. In: COH2 Balance

Stats for 17k 4v4 games played March of 2022. There is no "Top 200" sample of this because nobody is masochistic enough to play a 4 USF team. Very American way of interpreting statistics. Literally the freedom to interpret them however the hell you want. From a sample size of 460,000 games 4v4 games this patch, USF has a win rate of 48%. And as Gachi mentioned, highest Allies win rate in 4v4. So you've managed to find an extremely specific cross-section with a minuscule sample size that you can twist to fit your narrative - what's the deal? In: COH2 Balance
Thread: The main problem with balance8 Apr 2022, 06:22 AM Jump back to quoted post7 Apr 2022, 17:19 PMLatch Its not separated into game modes, something that is near useless in a 1v1 (elefant) can dominate 3v3 and up and then something that can dominate a 1v1 (Tiger, Crocodile) is near useless in 3v3+ and this leads to half of the battles with arguments on balance threads. Someone that only plays 1v1 might not fully understand how batshit OP an artillery piece(/s) can be, more so if you have to off map counter. A land mattress might be the "worst" rocket arty in 1v1 but in a team game the spread, amount and damage of the rockets means it can hit a wider area and as there are more units, do more damage. Certain things need revising for COH3 such as build times being increased in team game modes/resource income being reduced by the amount of players, that way, losing a heavy tank doesn't just mean you're literally waiting for the cool down because you have 400 fuel and 1k man power in the bank, but that you actually have a punishment to losing such a powerful unit. Agreed, but sadly no RTS game has ever devoted resources into creating this, not even triple A titles with insane budgets. It's just not cost-efficient from a design-perspective. In: COH2 Balance

Not to mention u get 1 pio for free so idk why ur saying 460mp No one starts with units for free. That's a common misconception by players with a weak understanding of the game. Factions that start with more expensive units get less starting manpower. It's roughly similar with some quirks here and there, but it's mostly balanced to give everyone kinda-equal starting resources. In: COH2 Balance

Yes, Grenadiers are really strong and imo the best mainline at most skill brackets. No, Grenadiers are not more durable than Allied mainlines because of literal stats. In: COH2 Balance

Using shift-build ease the pain of micro, and it is super effective. Probably because if you build two tank traps in a row with drag, there is a gap between two tank trap that doesn't provide green cover. Building two tank traps in a different direction removes that gap. Talking of micro of USF tips, one more very useful micro for USF is when highly dmged infs. are retreated, take medic out of the AMB and use the healing skill(not sure of the name), and put medic back to AMB and turn on the healing. The healing aura from medic & AMB overlaps so the speed of healing is twice (or similar) as fast. If you build horizontal + vertical will the REs get stuck between the two? I've had it happen once or twice when building multiple tank traps and left the REs by themselves. In: COH2 Balance

Let me recall what I wrote: Pioneer don't get destroyed by riflemen even if they can't win otherwise nobody would use them to cover their HMG flank. I let you do the test, go in cheat mode place a RE behind yellow cover and rush it with a RM, then do it vs Pioneer and see what happen. Hint, the 80 manpower difference shows its effect on the RM vs RE match, not the RM vs Pio. Now, its just an example on why USF early game doesn't perform correctly, I'm not even saying RM vs Pio is problematic, I say the cost difference is problematic. RE, RM are not cost effective and associated to lack diversity in combat options and super slow teching design. Pioneer absolutely do get destroyed by Riflemen. I've literally told you the stats. It's also available on https://coh2.serealia.ca/#. There's no range at which Pioneers can hope to win, and they absolutely get roflstomped in almost all real-game situations. Sturms cost 20 more than Riflemen, win 60 to 70% of the time vs Riflemen. Riflemen cost 80 more than Pioneers, win 100% of the time vs Pioneers. I never once disagreed with you about REs, I've always been targeting your obsession of spreading fake news and using false information to make your points. The reason I hate you so much is that across all the years in this forum, you use false information 99% of the time. You're intentionally using an unfair test to make a completely false claim. Why would I test Riflemen rushing in vs Pioneers into the best combat range for the Pioneers? Riflemen outdps Pioneers by 650 to 700% at long range. Why would I rush in and take a 25% advantage instead while losing accuracy running in? That is obviously the most biased test possible. This is basically equivalent to claiming that Grenadiers are underpowered, and then you do 100 cheat mod tests where they rush into close range vs Riflemen sitting behind cover and the Grenadiers lose 100% of the time. You are intentionally using Pioneer's best possible engagements with Riflemen being used inefficiently on purpose to claim some bullshit point about Riflemen not stomping Pioneers. I've already destroyed your intellectually invalid arguments completely about 250 posts ago. I insult you because you deserve it, because you are dishonest and despicable in using false information. All light tanks and most allied LV's will kill a flak track 1vs1 so it cannot deny mobility or flank properly . It cannot hold VP's or SP because of that either. The only thing this unit is good for is guarding your rear line. And in such a role its fantastic. Honestly what rank are you playing at that your grasp of the game can be so horribly and insanely wrong? Literally every player at competent ranks uses the Flak HT because of how insanely good its damage and suppression are, and most importantly it has incredible shock timing. It is not as strong as the Quad overall but flak HT does come way earlier and doesn't require a 90 muni upgrade cost. As an added bonus the Flak HT can counter sandbags and ignores RA bonuses. And no, none of us lose the flak HT in 1vs1 duels to enemy light vehicles because good players don't throw individual units out to duel 1v1 while watching for 30 seconds brainafk. I play with 250+ ping and even then I only ever lose my flak HT to medium tank dives and double AT gun one-salvoing the flak HT. In: COH2 Balance
