Soviets have a mainline with snare and an elite inf with snare. Why are they allowed that while Falls have to lose their snare?

Falls don't have to specifically lose their snare.

Falls have to have a direct nondoctrinal counter at a similar timing.

Elite infantry generally lack snares so that light vehicles can directly counter them.

Guards are long-range troops which are already countered by close range troops and HMGs, so they don't need to be vulnerable to light vehicles.



If Falls lose their snare, they become vulnerable to light vehicles, which can flush them out of their hiding places without getting snared.

If Falls lose their cloak, they become vulnerable to long-range infantry, light vehicles (as they no longer have to close within snare range) and HMGs.

Because he’s the only one who doesn’t know how to keep infantry in front of his LV.

Again, you're missing the point.

The only reason you flush ambush squads out with LVs in the first place is they kill infantry that wander too close. If you could flush them out with infantry, you wouldn't need to flush them out with vehicles.

UKF's always had the same problem: it's a janky faction with a basic roster full of holes that gets by leaning on a few overpowered 'crutch' units.

Take away the crutch, and it falls over.

And that's been the direction of UKF since the December Balance Patch.
DBP's emplacement nerfs killed off SimCity as a viable strategy. SBP's Centaur nerfs killed off the Centaur Rush just before GCS2.
The more recent patches have killed off the Bolster Blob into Crocodile.

The problem is removing the overpowered jank is only half the equation: you've also got to fill in the holes in the roster. Sapper Snares were a game-changer for the faction, but putting it on the same footing as the other factions requires finishing the job.

UKF needs a viable long-range counterplay to team weapons: a mobile mortar, or something that does the same job.

Is that likely? Probably not: Relic's stance is rebalance, don't redesign. The Balance Team do what they can within the constraints they're given, but UKF's problems run deeper and until the Balance Team gets the authority to fix them they'll remain.

Well there’s your L2P issue lol, learn to use a sweeper with your LV and you won’t suffer from Falls anymore.

The way you counter a cloaking squad is by flushing it out with something that beats it.

Elite CQC cloaked squads like Commandos and Stormtroopers beat any infantry that approaches them with their First Strike bonus and their abilities. Therefore, you flush them out with vehicles.

Because Fallschirmjager have snares, you can't flush them out with light vehicles because that light vehicle will receive an Engine Damaged crit and be unable to escape a follow-up by a Puma or
Raketenwerfer.

You can't flush them out with infantry.
You can't flush them out with light vehicles.
You can't flush them out before medium armour without sustaining hefty losses.

That means you have to either answer them doctrinally (outgun them with Rangers or Shocks) or economically (take the hit and do better elsewhere).

Both are entirely counter to the design philosophy of the game, no?

Or should we distribute AT grenades to Shock Troops?

If the Balance Team think Falls having snares is a good thing, then they won't change them.
