AA stands for anti-air, not anti-all which current Ostwind is It doesn't seriously challenge a T-34/76 in the slightest. The video in the OP is both invoking Lanchester's Law and showing a run of bad luck for the T-34/76 on penetration rolls. Boot up the CheatMod yourself and see how well an Ostwind fares against a T-34. In: COH2 Balance

The smaller force takes disproprotionate losses. If you fight four squads with two squads, you won't trade evenly. You'll lose both and they'll lose one. It's why blobbing is so effective. Your test is equivalent to throwing four Ostwinds at the T-34 in succession. In: COH2 Balance

They are priced as they are, so the cost is split between 2 resources instead of massive MP dump they were in the past, they aren't balanced nor supposed to work without upgrade. I checked out the numbers and they're comparable to Penal Troops. Similar survivability versus small arms, similar short range damage, about 50% better long range damage. If you hypothetically did in Battlegroup, I reckon they'd be decent but not game-changing during the midgame. The reward for weathering their brutal reinforcement cost through the mid-game would be pre-vetted Obers when the SPHQ drops. In: COH2 Balance

While obers arriving earlier would be a good thing to explore, they -are- high tier, very powerful infantry, not something that belongs in early game. They're Obers without the LMG though. Are they that much better than PGrens in that state? I'd be more concerned about the Obers already being Vet 2 when the LMG unlocks. In: COH2 Balance

A rushed Tiger/Ace will not have a lot of support and going up against a pre-built TD has a good chance of backfiring. But it does punish those who are either completely behind or ignored all the signals and got medium tanks or AI tanks or went for a lot of light vehicles. It would give heavies a strategic role (besides their tactical role of damage sponging and spearheading) that they currently somewhat lack. Wouldn't this just make tank destroyers even more favoured in team games? I don't like this 'shock unit' strategic role concept for heavies. It creates a rock-paper-scissors situation where Scissors also beats Rock. Why would you ever go for medium armour if you'd lose both to Heavy Tanks and to Tank Destroyers + Infantry?
