I've been playing a tons with them lately, it's always the same problem of being late and bleeding manpower.
Their starting units cost way too much, occupying the map in the earliest is a big struggle, it's not a struggle, it's impossible.
Their Light tank is barely worth it, only good for scouting and when you absolutely need to destroy a luchs or sdfkz, after this, it has no use, just useless garbage if you don't have piats (which are garbage too)
Everything costs fuel with them.
Their Tier 3 cost 280MP 115 FUEL, what the fuck was relic smoking for fuck sakes?
I bet the only think they thought is that their tank are the best so they should cost a lot.
The problem is that it takes too much time to build tanks as british to counter tanks, and that's EVEN when you control all the fuel.
Too much time to build infanty, too much time to occupy the map, too much time to arm up, to much time to clear garrisoned MGs, too much time to tech up.
And people ask why British are doing sim city?
It's the only viable tactic to destroy both tanks and infantry.

a thing to note however is it is a straight up model transfer- so wounded cons will become wounder guards

I understand what you all said and I thank you.
The problem I'm having right now is that microing units with soviets is so fucking hard, it's undescribing, I understand why all the other factions just blob and charge.
Having to watch and displace your cons+maxim and the guards on top of that, it's hell of a difficulty, not even talking about the 120mm.
Also the clown car and M5 are too weak and die instantly which is sad because garisoned guards are strong.
I seriously think their DPS isn't right when they have DP28 and that they drop too much weapon without getting it back.
Can you explain to me why merging is a good idea? if you merge guards with cons do the cons get the guards stats?

The only thing that guards need is an option to replace their dropped weapons.
And I hate picking a doctrine to get them, but oh well that's the commander design.
So in your opinion button is fine as it is?
Also the drop rate is too high, they drop thing like a fucking piñata just hit get the candy, I'm not kidding.

It happened at least 3 times in different games.
When I get my cons+ppsh to replace mg units or take an mg, some bug makes it so that the mg gets a PPsh but neither is shooting and the mg can barely move.

I want to use them as main infantry to replace conscripts in between early and mid game.

Picking Zook with USF is not the same, it's a hard choice and sacrifice to make.
The sacrifice that doesn't exist in OKW.
