They already have good AI. armour and to the last man relies too much on RNG and that's not what they need they need reliability. A damage reduction would give a straight reliable durability buff without loops and hoops and the possibility that they do nothing entirely. Armour adds another dice to them that can still say fuck you if it wants to. Damage reduction is guaranteed.

Damage reduction, no need to re-invent the wheel with all these suggestions. There's WAY more problems to fix with coh and this sounds like a nice and easy fix.

Make Pzgrens 300 manpower currently for its lacking utility and choices.

I would agree on it being for the way it is currently as it is. But why should it be that much is the question?


What are the differences between Penals and Pzgrens Price and performance and accessibility!

It has only a bundle grenade, and guys with Stg44. Upgrade option Pzshreks for 100 ammo.

It is like comparing exactly to Penals. All SVT semi automatic rifles with Satchel. Upgrade option PTRS 60 that include AT satchel (costs ammo). What is the difference really.

SVT (still strong) less stronger than STG44.
Penal Squad 6 man is Bigger than 4 man Pzgrens

Otherwise convince anyone for the way it currently is cuz I think the price is unjust. Even then, Osteehr would still have to consistently heavily rely on Grens since they are a better versatile support unit.

It comes later anyway, what is the likelihood of them getting more of those then Grens when that is their only main option in the beginning. It has to be an alternative rather than something that feels too costy and lacking options. It is fair to decrease its price.

You're entirely missing the engagement ranges, the veterancy bonuses, squad size and timing.

Pgrens come far later and will be forced to fight vetted Penals who get "To the Last Man" dealy which makes them stronger as the squad sizes go down. 6 guys at medium to max range will beat up Pgrens who are an assault like unit that performs better at med to low range.

As simple price adjustment wouldn't help. Keeping the price and adding 5th man would be a step in the right direction as indirect fire makes a 4 man squad so vulnerable.

It's highly likely you'll face 3-4 penals and 2 guardsman, and a flamer which puts Pgren at a straight up disadvantage. They'll also lose to Shocks, another popular pick. They have no real advantages which is why they aren't used that much.

The same time the comet gets a buff called veterency and ostwind can shoot down planes.

So not for a while, plenty of units in line and have been in line for years

Comet is never picked, the Churchhill and Firefly combo is TOO good and Comet got a decent nerf
Bofors still can't shoot down planes due to a bug
17 pounders AT emplacement is hard countered by dive bombs and Ele/Jag
Shocks still somehow get bugged to have no CD on their grenades
STUG is laughable now, and most OST rush T4
Luch has no idea how to aim
Su76 overshadowed by a heavy nerf
Crybabies nerffed TNT meanwhile goliath is a moving TNT that is stealth in cover. All because people cna't be bothered to maek a minesweeper

Spec Ops, Fortification for sure. Spec Ops IS SO good in 2v2's it's all you can ever go, for better or worse.

It's Ostheer that's underperforming in every stage of the game.

Fragile infantry (Grens) that can't compete with BARS and Brens.

Lackluster "elite" infantry (PGs) that can't compete with Bars and Brens.

Inferior midgame (T70, Stuart, AEC leave you on the back foot).

And a lategame that is mediocre at best and absolutely inferior to Brits (Tiger, Ostwind < Churchill, Centaur). Aka no reward for holding out that long. It's characteristic, that Brummbär, Elefant got significant nerfs while multiple Allied lategame units got buffs/ stayed the same. Ost lategame was neutered for no compensation.

And before I hear the "l2p" posts, I'm playing this game and it's predecessor for more than a decade now. I know what I'm doing.

This is the sort of playstyle I remember when I played coh2 during the first year or so of release. You couldn't let the germans dig in or hold out because their armor would really toss the game in your face. Now it's a far more linear approach as all allied units are far more durable, reliable, and hard hitting against a relatively neutered AXIS army.

To better understand the problem, all we've been doing is OKW/Wehr in 2's when we're largely allied players and after about a month it feels like a real struggle to pull wins out.

But it couldn't of been said better than when you mentioned " Holding out " bit as it doesn't feel like that all. Asymmetrical balance has been carved away at, buffing various units to compete without realizing that it's hurting other factions.


I don't believe in this philosophy of " WEll AXIS WAS OP ! IT'S ALLIES TIME!! " Oh please, the games had so many patches, and various factions have been OP as shit. Stop being a selfish POS and realize a game won't be fun if NOBODY wants to play germans for you to fight. Walking over people isn't fun, challenges are fun.. and I have to say.. we're enjoying axis due to the raw challenge but some games you feel pound for pound you'd rather have allied units then overpriced Pgrens, underperforming STUG, and lackluster AI options in late game as OKW (I'd much perfer a pwerfer or brumbar. P4 gets decimated by all the high range/self spotting allied armor)
