This debate has started drifting off topic which is OKW - Grand Offensive commander.
I stand still stand by my points thou:
1) Passive sprint should be removed from all units or replaced by a timed ability even if free.PFs running around decamping sectors should not be allowed.
2) Tactical movement and smoke can prove problematic since it allows to easily bypass defenses even base HMG nest
3) MP-40 upgrade should become more consistent with the PPsh upgrade and has little to offer to the commander.
4) The rear armor of the PzIV J should be fixed since it is due to oversight, the T-34/85 mgs also.
I am totally agree with the “MP-40 has little to offer to the commander” part.
MP40 upgrade looks redundant here.
Reasons:
1. MP40 and G43 are both assault weapons.
2. We have off-map smoke.
3. Panzerfusilliers can use HE grenade. |
no that would make them op, with 2 shrek they forfeit their ai power, PG and bills were OP cause they kept their AI power with just one shrek
1 Schrecks should lock G43 upgrade, too. 4 * Fusillier K98r only have similar DPS as 3 * Grenadier K98r. |

250MP squad can equip double schrecks...
I think we should change it to 60/70 munition for one schreck (take on weapon slot). |
The G43 does not have to an upgrade for PG. Even the ability is not called g43 but "jaeger light infatry upgrade" and it can provide different bonuses to different infatry.
Interesting, maybe give PG IR STG upgrade instead? |
For combat efficiency:
Volks are OK. And yes, they will lose to Allied infantry because they are cheaper (250MP).
For versatility:
Volks are ridiculously good. They can assault, hold the line, snare, clear garrison and build sandbags. Besides, they have weapon upgrades.
Riflemen can not build sandbags without doctrine support.
Infantry Section can not snare.
Grenadiers can not build sandbags and can not assault without G43.
Penals can not build sandbags.
Conscripts require two techs and have no weapon upgrades without doctrine support. |
The fuse was added specifically because before that it was even worse than it is now, instant throw + no fuse = no way to dodge. You CAN dodge them, but you're still going to take a bit of damage, and the ability of the incendiary to deny cover is its strongest attribute. Volks can close in, throw a grenade and force the other squad to move exposing them to negative cover and damage to win the engagement.
The incomplete dodging thing is same for every grenade. Even the top players can not doge HE grenade perfectly every time, they usually took reduced damage like 20% ~ 30%. |
Also 3 abilities with the same name that functions different from each other.... Come on relic..
