To expand on what Katitof said, you don't have to kill a jackson to counter it. IE building paks do Counter the jackson but not just in kill potential but also in zoning potential.
Having paks cover a medium tank essentially neutralize the Jacksons ability to counter a medium. No sane person is going to drive a jackson into a pak wall that they know is there. Same goes with AT infantry moving infront of a medium.
If they are dumb enough to move into a double pak range well double pak plus a medium should easily take care of a Jackson.
Another good counter is a TD plus Medium/at gun.

You're trying to hammer a rock with scissors.
Use some paper.
AT infantry, PaK creep, super heavy TDs, even bum rush with meds who have higher DPS then jacksons and will overwhelm them for cost.
Panther isn't ultimate answer for everything mechanized, so don't try to use it against everything, jacksons are supposed and intended counter for panther, not the other way around.

btw u dont see comet in 1vs 1 for the same reason as panther, tier 4, in team games they are used but the ff is still a safer choice |

cromwell have a faster reload. its veterancy also boost its reload rate, unlike the comet.

You forgot the reload. 6.15 on the comet and 5 on the tiger.
And not every stats are the same. Having 20% small target size doesn't immediately translate into 20% more survivable like having 240 more hp.
and actually the 240 hp is better than it looks, since it allow the tiger to take 7 shots compare to the comet's 5. That's a 40% jump in survivability.
and the max scatter distance on the tiger vs comet is 4.3 and 6.4. It's essentially vertical dispersion. Scatter mainly affect your accuracy vs infantry, and also help against tanks (stray shot). The cromwell and comet used to have two of the best scatter in the game, but now it's just average and worse than tiger.
i said similar, not same, what did u expect a 185 fuel have the same stats as a 240 fuel unit ? even bias needs to have limits; they have the same role
edit: reduce the tiger stats by 30% (the 55 missing fuel) then tell me it's still good |

Cromwell has much much better AI than Comet by the way. Good luck trying to get 15-20 infantry kills with a Comet, you will need all match to get them.

It´s funny. People cry about the Panther being trash (which it is) but apparently the Comet is even worse and that is somehow OK because it can´t be compared to the Panther for reasons unknown. Why try to compare it to the Tiger when the Tiger is a doctrinal heavy tank with good AI.
Comets and Panthers are both premium medium tanks that lack AI compared to Cromwell/P4 but offer good armour and thus good performance vs P4s, Cromwells, T34s, Shermans etc.
Wehraboo logics make no sense to me.
