And people are more likely to gravitate towards the HMG for the early game for anti infantry suppression, particularly vs OKW. Any tier with the ATG, will likely be less chosen because you don’t need a 3-4 minute ATG unless your OKW facing ultra lights. And if USF decide to turtle with fighting positions (LT?)/captain, howitzer and/MHTT how is Ostheer going to push? In: Lobby

And M36 Jacksons have to be as USF has only 1 true TD in its core and the M10 will never be stock. ... If the M36 is the only true core TD re-design to counter super heavies not PzIV. The unit can hit and penetrate PzIVs with chances 100% even at max range while being faster, making PzIVs obsolete. One should test returning original design where Ostheer had to play defense until T3 where they could start pushing. In: Lobby

Riflemen should be top dog for their time frame. Reduce the AI of shreck Pg and their cost spawning with 2 ST+ 2 K98 reduce cost so that they can soft counter allied elite infantry. as for timing: Increase window of opportunity of armored cars reduce their shock value, introduce 221 as a soft counter armored cars. Increase window of opportunity of light tanks reduce their shock values, redesign ostwind as counter to light tanks. Increase the window of opportunity of Medium tanks. Delay premium mediums, Heavy TD, Super heavy tanks. In: COH2 Balance

That would would result into a further buff to Soviet who are already one of the strongest factions or some re-balancing of LV play, either toning down T-70 or making Puma stock for Ostheer. Some of these units are very powerful and if one allows many of them to be called in one should restrict them some other way. A "promotion" system for where USF infantry could be exchanged for doctrinal units could offer a solution. In addition the new CP 0 doctrinal infantry allow USF to put allot of pressure to Ostheer who have to spend manpower and time to get the T1 building up. Finally many USF units are extremely cost efficient and only see little action due to tech restriction removing those restrictions would mean re-balancing these units. In: Lobby

T-70 do lot of pressure and costs 70 fuel, so it can't be replaced quickly, so wiping T-70 with teller is better than wiping grens with 2 sov mines (even if you are THAT lucky to actually wipe them). I would easily trade sov mine for teller just because of that reason. ... Ostheer do not have T-70 or any other light tank and Soviet have enough PTRS to kill any light vehicles hit a mine. And I am not even sure what you are suggesting. In: COH2 Balance

Being able to make sure infantry won't spoil your mines is heavily under rated. "Spoil mines" describing getting a squad wipe from mines explosion is one way of putting it. So the issues that tellar are only trigger by vehicles? Ok lets allow infantry to trigger tellars , but then pls do not complain about allied infantry being wiped out by mines. In: COH2 Balance

I wonder why I am becoming the Topic of this thread. But let me explain my point of view, and it has nothing to do with allies being buffed or not. Soviets got buffed, OKW got redesigned. Then Ostheer had to be buffed to keep and now USF(/UKF) will be redesigned. One could continue this circle of buff and redesigns increasing the Power level of each faction until all faction are similar and the game becomes arcade. Even currently there are units that negate game mechanism with small arm having accuracy over 100% and TDs with penetration and accuracy above 100%. Or one can, take a step back reduced the Power level of faction and fix long lasting issues that have not been touched in years and better design each unit and each commander with a specific role and tools to fulfill that role, taking into account the unique design of each faction.
