Or you could use it as big money shot. Sound good on paper but in reality it was a mess. Hard to hit moving target, even brouncing, pen heavy tank. Shoting defendsive position also miss, overshot too. I guess because the mechanic of dual purpose shell and skill click abiity itself. If it could change to vector ability like Tulip Rocket/HVAP M26. It could be fine. Let it hit, kill everything on it path. The shot has very little to no scatter and will land where it aimed. Changing it to vector ability would be a bad idea since the unit has no turret and has to rotate without adding much since it can still collide with target in its path. In: COH2 Balance

The ability serves almost no purpose, is too expensive, and the cast time is too long to be practical. Please don't skew the perception of the ability by highlighting the increase in AoE distance max when the OHK radius dropped hilariously. Distance near at 1.25 went to 0.25... It got cheaper It does 3 times more damage far and far distance was increased by 33% The distance 1.25 to 0.25 is not very relevant to kill radius because the kill radius used to be 2.68 not 1.25. What you want to look at is the mid that went from 2.75 to 1.5...so lets try avoid the "skew" remarks. The ability can still be used to snipe ATGs and vehicles even FOW it simply less probable to get a one shot wipe on full health unit. In: COH2 Balance

ISU Piercing Shot cost from 70 to 60 ISU Piercing Shot penetration now set to 1000 Concrete Piercing AOE damage from 1/0.25/0.05 to 1/0.25/0.15 Conrete Piercing AOE distance from 1.25/2.75/4.5 to 0.25/1.5/6 Main thing reduce was kill radius It can now be used vs both hard and soft targets. As AT it is meant to be used vs JT/Ele In: COH2 Balance

Some SMG already have abilities that help them, like camo/sprint other do not. Generally speaking I would rather see abilities for SMG units, some of them might need other changes if they get them but it would have to be case by case. In: Lobby

At the moment the ability you describe would be a buff on top of standard baseline stats. Are talking about the ostheer officer that already has the ability or about other unit getting similar abilities? The ostheer officer is weak already and does not scale combat wise into to the let game so he does not need a nerf to its base stats. Anyway main point is to fix the lock in position animation that prevent the unit from moving. In: Lobby

SMG Troops have proven difficult to balance especially in all stages of the game. Moving some of the power from base stats to abilities could help in the that processes. In: Lobby

What I am saying is that both Relic and MOD team made mistakes in balancing the game, it was not all black and white as claimed by others. In addition Relic did work with community member from at least as early as 2014 again contrary to claims by others. Of coarse one has to keep in mind that even community patches are still Relics responsibility and one can not blame the mod team for them, we should actually be thankful to MOD team for the effort the put. What I am also saying is that it would be nice if factions had clear designs that worked. In: Lobby

USF had some seismic changes too Brits in alpha looked like they were from CoH 6 in 2035, changed at launch, and changed again very much since then Yes but the change in OKW/USF/UK come after they mess up EFA armies. If they did not touch the EFA much and only removed cheese/bugs and fixed commanders the game would had been easier to balance. For instance USF rolfstomped WER so WER had to be buffed again and again so it started to rolfstop Soviet and the then Soviet had to buffed and so on. In: Lobby

OKWs launch design was horrific. Interesting on paper but it showed ZERO reflection of being in the same game as the eastern front factions. Sovs and Ost needed huge changes just to compete And part of the problem was that it should be the other way round.
