The problem is that they are facing penals + dushkas into sherman spam 8/10 times. And we all know how OP this strategy is and how much is OKW weak against instapinning hmgs and strong medium tank spam (raketten). Once you nerf dushka and tie sherman to tier, you´ll see how good the OKW is against Soviets or USF And again no matter the reason OKW have one of the lowest win rates by far in the tournament losing not only to Soviet but also to USF and UKF. You might want to claim that it is Soviets, USF and UKF that are OP and that OKW are UP but the fact remains that faction is no way OP since it lose on average 60% of the games. V.G. on the other hand are OP but the whole faction should be looked at. In: COH2 Balance

In the mod Conscripts are far more cost efficient than grenadier although they cost the same and grenadiers have a tech cost. Grenadier become better only after one researches BP and buys them LMGs. As also as pointed out by Strummingbird team weapons re-crewed by conscript are too powerful while they cost very little to reinforce. In: COH2 Gameplay

In a nutshell, just because making the game more complex and interesting for higher skilled players (or those who are constantly on the forums) may not be beneficial or find themselves lost to those who are not as skilled or who are causal (which make up majority of players). Well conscript are fine at the start of the game they have some issues facing late, vetted elite infantry. Buffing them will not solve the issues because they will dominate early game the same way Penals do. If they they need a buff it should be at late game. The simplest solution is to tied to tech. Or, as I suggested before, they should become more specialized either in attack or defense. In: COH2 Gameplay

Right now Conscripts are just bleeding your MP and loosing every single mid- or late-game engagement unless they outnumber their opponents 3:1. I do agree that STG Volks and LMG Grens should beat them overall but just leaving Cons as they are is surely no option right? Maybe make the PPSH upgrade non-doctrinal and replace the doctrinal PPSH with something better? Like the Guards LMGs? conscripts vs Grenadier are fine live. (again a bit faster molotov) Ostheer bleed more than Soviets Conscripts vs V.G. is bad but that is problem with V.G.s and not conscripts. If conscripts need need buff they should come via making buildings so that one would have to choose between relying om call-in or stock units. For instance the first building could give you x1.02 accuracy second another x1.02 third x1.04 fourth x1.06 (for a total of around 1.15 accuracy). In: COH2 Gameplay

PPSH doctrines are meh...PTRS for cons is limited to one one-dimensional doctrine. So you still end up with Cons that are next to useless against upgraded Volks and Grens. Fight some Vet 3 Grens with MG42/G43 upgrade or Vet5 STG Volks with Cons and see how well that goes. An Lmg grenadier is T1 unit with BP 2 research and 60 Mu upgrade, it should beat a T0 unit. An STG Volk is 250 MP unit with 2 set truck investment and 60 Mu upgrade, it should beat a T0 unit. Conscript should simply be redesign either an aggressive unit with ourah and good at mid to close (no sandbags) or as defensive unit good far when in cover (with sandbags but no ourah maybe some bonuses when in cover). Else leave the unit as (a bit less animation for molotovs) a mediocre in all roles. In: COH2 Gameplay

Which bring us back to my original point that OKW do not have more squad on the field in the same amount of time as claimed by OP. Finally vs USF kubels work allot better than infantry. Doesn´t that nerf cons hard? Slight acc buff but damage nerfed hard???? The deliver damage more consistent and gain more accuracy with veterancy. Please tell me if there's something wrong with my interpretation but to me, although USF and Sov are supposed to have an early game advantage, it seems to me that OKW has both the best early game and the best late game at the moment (even if their mid-game is not as good). RE+3x Riflemen = 1.040 ST+3x VG+ set medic truck = 1350 Faction have around the same value of units at same time so I doubt that what you describing is normal scenario (since OKW have around 30% more field value presence in your scenario) In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Volksgrenadiers21 Jun 2017, 10:18 AM VG over-perform on the other hand without them OKW will simply be under performing. What is needed is combination of changes to OKW to balance things out. No matter the reason a faction that loses on average 60% of the time is simply NOT over-performing. One could actually claim that is under-performing. VG over-perform for 3 reasons: 1) The buff at all range from the ST44 (there are other Allied infantry that are also too flexible in all ranges) 2) The incendiary grenade (denying cover) 3) The ability to make sandbags Changes could include: A) ST44 upgrade now gives 5 St44 but on semi auto mode about the DPS of M1. Squad has the ability to use "full auto" for a limited time for mu cost while stationary. DPS a bit lower than PGs mid/close. B)Replace incendiary grenade with a normal grenade. C) Remove ability for sandbags. In: COH2 Balance
