FF is way to accurate since it has the highest mid range of any other TD including JP and Elephant. Su-85 pop need to go up. JP need to have its role defined. If it is a counter to mediums it need to have less pop and cost even if that mean lower HP/armor. If it a counter to super heavies it need more penetration. I would also be tempted to swap TWP for cloak from Stug to JP, since OKW have enough cloaked units and Ostheer have enough TWP. In: COH2 Balance

They always seemed pretty lackluster to me Some of them have an impact but that is not the point. "Shooting for the stars" is misleading since it indicates it increase range while after the patch probably it has no affect at all, while "Spray and Pray" was supposed to be nerfed in the patch and it either did not get nerfed or the description is again misleading. In any case both of them need fixing. I can add a long list of bulletin that are quite pointless but that is a different issue ("Search & No Rescue!"251/20 Infrared Halftracks build 10% faster, "The Harder You'll Fall!" The "Jagdtiger" Panzerjager Tiger Ausf. B dispatch ability recharges 10% faster.). In: Lobby

Ostheer: Shoot for the stars "The Artillery Field Officer increases the range of all nearby artillery by 8%." Since this ability targets only "assault_officer_victor_target" and according to patch notes: "Coordinated Barrage causes on-map artillery to fire at the target location regardless of range." The bulletin needs to change. Soviets: "Spray and Pray" The M1910 Maxim Heavy Machine Gun deals 5% increased suppression. Since according to patch notes: Machine Gun Suppression Intel Bulletin * Suppression bonus reduced from +5% to +1% Either the description or the affect need to change. Actually instead of adding 1% suppression which is rather pointless another affect like reload should become available. In: Lobby

My suggestion was a bit similar. Reduce target size of mortars and HMG to 1 reduce their HP to 60. (some explosive weapon might need adjustment) Reduce the damage of mortars and sniper to 64 (remove all cover modifier from snipers). (making 1 spotter with bigger sight radius and 1 sniper in the team is also a solid suggestion) That would leave fight between support weapons about the same but reduce the bleed snipers and mortars inflict. Thread: instead of adding a fifth man to grenadier8 Feb 2018, 10:17 AM Imo lmgs should not be available to non elite squads with more the 4 models. On the other hand Ostheer need a squad can survive. And there mane way to do that: 1) make the doctrinal g43 upgrade give 5 g43 with a DPS close to m1 allowing a 5 member on the squad and remove it from commanders with access to super heavy tanks. 2) Create 2 separate upgrade for grenadiers. The lmg as is but with access to normal grenade and a 5 member firing rifle-grenades with a small timer on impact and scatter. In: COH2 Balance

That does not actually work because 90 munition it simply too much as an investment for a unit that dies very easily and especially for Ostheer who need all their mu just to stay competitive. 221 and 222 can be both build-able and/or the upgrade can cost manpower/fuel. Then road will be open then for the 221 to serve as counter to armored cars/sniper and 222 as soft counter to light tanks. In: COH2 Balance

Something like say: "adjusting vet gain an abilities" i think would be a perfectly reasonable scope. There is so much going on in this game that refining and giving a bit of focus is a good idea, however too tight a scope is possible. Only if balancing is made with direct comparison with the benchmark (that use to be Ostheer) while keeping in mind the relative faction design. Either wise you get monstrosities like: USF mortar when first patched (modeled after Ostheer one while it is desing to be OP.) Penal when first patched (modeled after riflemen when riflemen are designed to be OP.) AT conscripts designed to be attractive compared to PTRS Penals becoming one of the most cost efficient AT squad. There is a very large number of general issues that need to be fixed like: pop XP value vet bonuses vet abilities and there are other issues that can be done by scope but only with the use of benchmark. On a more serious note: just resurrect this thread in a couple of months when we had a new SCOPE poll available. The idea of doing patches with scope simply does not work. It can only work is someone uses a benchmark and compares everything with the benchmark. Currently patches to fix the balance between 2 units while breaking them for the rest of them and that has left Ostheer (what used to be the benchmark) to have to relay on call in units. There are simple things like the XP value of the SU-76 that should be fixed with or without scope. In: COH2 Balance
