Why not bundle Assault section with Royal Engineer flamethrower like OKW assault pack？

It does make sense since the M2 is an American weapon, and it would improve both Mobile Assault and Royal Engineers.

I like it.

Wouldn't it be easier to tie them to tech now and adjust their performance in the next patch?

Then you'd have a lot of live data on how well they perform tied to tech to use, and information on how the meta shifts without any call-in crutches.

Agreed, the more time for testing and feedback, the better.

Yep. Literally a Flak HT with a Pak 40 instead of a flak turret.

Or like the 250 halftrack's suppression mode if it needs a pack up time to animate tearing down the gun?

It could replace the Opel Blitz in Feuersturm!

From what I understood from Widerstreit, basically you would have a covered top 251 drive to some position, you press a button to deploy or hull down or whatever, cover pops off and a Pak 40 comes at the front like in the picture instantly from nowhere. I also believe the gunners would also be floating inside.

It would be far too beneficial for Relic to enable back model editing and importing into this more than 5 year old game.

Unless you plan on using it like the Flak HT it's not going to work since it needs to be deployed like I already said.

Well if we're going by the numbers Planet
Smasher dug up there's little else to put in the commander besides the Sherman, M8 and Stuart with all of these as far as I see not providing any "unique" alternatives to the stock units.

But maybe if the aura repair is given to the M5 HT a slot can be opened up for RoastingGhost's Stuart since he's the one that originally suggested I think, sadly the commander upgrade for it is glitched a bit .

I don't know. Look at smoke pots. It's gimmicky, but it is a very good ability. It both gives you a way to smoke a front/mg or save a tank or you can use it to just gain intel on your opponent. The cheap cost also means that you'll never be in a situation where you will not be able to use it. So, gimmicky doesn't automatically make an ability not being used.

Otherwise they could just turn it into something like the "Assault and Hold" of the German Infantry commander. It's 70 munitions as well, global, increases capping and gives an nice offensive bonus that is worth getting sometimes even if you're not planning on capturing territory.

Or an entirely new ability, like

"Dig in"
US infantry in heavy cover and buildings is instructed to dig in. They receive a -10% (or something more appropriate) to their received accuracy and 10% to their rate of fire.

It could be a passive or an active ability like the Con hurrah for 20 munition for 20 seconds or so. Depending on how it is implemented the bonuses need to be different. A flat passive cannot be very strong.

Fits the urban theme perfectly.

Hmm, I remember getting some sort of "Cover specialization" in the Ardennes Assault campaign where riflemen could build sandbags and got that "Dig in" ability you were talking about. Urban environment does have a lot of cover and I'd enjoy having sandbags on my riflemen instead of relying on REs to build tank traps for such.

Got another game in. Cover to cover seems to miss something. I have to actively force myself to use it and it doesn't seem to be just me as during the games Miragefla was able to set up in yesterday's stream, no one seemed to use it as well.

Smoke is mostly to save a tank or flank/smoke an mg, but in both cases you don't need sprint. So you end up overpaying every time you use it for those purposes, which seem to be the only ones. The increase to three shells also doesn't do much in my book as 3 are as good as 1 shell for those scenarios and increasing the number of shells doesn't help to make the ability more appealing.

20s is also not realistically useable since it's within the radius of the cast ability not global.

My suggestion: lower the cost to 50 munition, make it 1 smoke shell with faster cast time and sprint for units within 30 for 5 seconds. With this the ability is cheap (almost as cheap as smoke pods for the ost commander) and gains is more appealing due to the low cost. The faster cast time makes it overall more powerful.

Most people don't like gimmicks, that's why.

Aoe heals might be a bit strong for multiplayer. Having it set up with some mechanics though sorta like the okw mech truck or advanced cancer assembly could be interesting though. Mutually exclusive to the AA package. Give a lot of new options. Perhaps a p47 rocket strafe just to round out the commander.

Repair Engineers/Pioneers and Medic spawning out of something which is deployed and can just undeploy and move has been proven as buggy and thus not really feasible, that's why you see aura repairs and heals instead of entities spawning out of the vehicle while deployed.
