As the title says?
What are they and how does someone report another player and if you are cheating what happens? As the game stands right now? |
I'm not the one having a big cry because the big bad game developer didn't give me everything I wanted.
Dude, you are an exaggeration extraordinaire, all you do is make once sentence replies to what everyone else posts. Do you know what that makes you? |
Welcome to the real world GreenDevil, where not everything always goes your way.
The internet and video games is the real world? Dude, you have problems. |
Not got much experience with contracts between companies, eh?
I suspect either do you. However, as the customer I don't give a flying fuck about what contracts the company has in place between other companies, I just want what I paid for and what the product I paid for was advertised to come with.
By buying a copy of CoH2, I did not buy shares in Relic or SEGA, so why should I care about what's going with them and other companies. We are just the customer, that's entitled to what we have paid for.
Then again as long as we "eventually" get what we paid for, that's ok, but I would expect some sort of compensation, like a free skin, free commander or at least something to show the customer that we are important, because without customers Relic and SEGA would have sweet fuck all. |
I liken the Leader board situation to this scenario:
I went down to the local store and ordered and paid for a Supreme Pizza. When I got it home and opened the box, it nothing on it except for Ham and Cheese.
So I ask the Pizza store Manager, what happened to the rest of my Pizza that I paid the full amount for and it was advertised to have the lot?
The Manager turns around and says, sorry pal, I pay the kid out the back to put all the toppings on but he just didn't do it, or forgot or didn't know how. The Manager further says, I can't tell you when I will put the extra advertised toppings on your Pizza, but I am working on it, just take a seat and wait for 6 hours whilst I try and get the toppings put on for you, but you are welcome to eat the pizza I already made for you.
Who would put up with that? Who would want some sort of rock solid concrete answer on what the fuck is going on or you would demand your money back or some sort of discount?
Who would ever shop at that Pizza shop again?

Why are people with around or less 50 posts leaving their negative feedback? So much hate on the balance from some who i pressume dont have total 100 hours played or dont even know game but just comment on random stuff they dont like without realising that this game is rly hard to get into and hard to get a grip on
Ive seen so much players when i either play soviets or germans , opponent saying the nation i play atm is OP
Im sick and tired of that so i would ask for experienced players to leave their feedback if they either love or dislike certan things , and imply what things need more work or tweak
Who is experienced after three weeks? Noone is, the meta hasn't even fully developed yet, it can sometimes take months for that to happen. |
Roadmaps are too easily misunderstood as promises, and are empty without timelines. Members of this forum have seen our internal roadmaps, but they're people we know have an understanding of development and we prefaced it by saying it's stuff that we'd like to do and are working towards without promising it.
Relic has in the past said that they were going to do stuff and then not done it, and it's something we'd like to stop doing. SEGA will help us with that, they're far more understanding of... well everything, than THQ was. THQ was big into promising things before anyone was ready. Space Marine 2. DoW 3. DoW 3 Free-to-Play. Homefront 2 & 3.
I'd much rather we do stuff first, then brag about it second. Maybe that's being overcautious, but we've in the past given easy answers that we thought the community wanted to hear. All with the best of intentions, but not always with the ability to carry those out.
So we're going to shut up and ship.
Take the Leaderboards for example. We wanted them in at launch. We were confident we could do that and now there are people who rather fairly feel upset because we said they'd be in at launch and they're not. It would have been better had we not promised them and then failed to deliver.
If we say we're doing X, I want to know that we're 100% doing it. Or at least as close to 100% as we can get.
Hopefully that's an explanation. I understand that you're frustrated, and hopefully our dedication to support the game long term will change your mind. If you want to take this as the game being in trouble that's all on you.
Personally I view it as us getting our shit together and not talking out of our hat as before.
The age old prophecy "Under promise, then over deliver" I like the theory Noun, but lets hope for the fans sake it isn't a case of "Under promise, under deliver". But, I have faith, just like I had faith in CoH Online. I was burnt with that one, but I know Relic have good intentions this time around.
Tell me about the time frame on implementation of the Leader-boards? 2 weeks, 2 months? or year? Or is it, hard to say because you actually don't really know what's happening with regard to it? If you do know what's happening with it, tell me about the problems you had implementing it at launch? Tell me about the type of Leader-board system you are trying to implement and how?
Also what's the time frame on Anti-Cheat? |
He has a point though. The game was advertised to have Leaderboards and ststs and three weeks after release it still doesn't. This is really unheard of and proves to me that Relic rushed this game out under a deadline from SEGA.
Can you imagine the uproar if CoD or BF4 was released with no stats, ranks, lvls or leaderboards? People would be threatining to kill themselves! |
If you think it's beatable then I would suggest you haven't played against decent players. Maxim spam is a fucking joke due to the stupid fucking 6 man support teams. When the maxim can just move into the firing arc of an MG42, not get suppressed or pinned straight away, then proceed to shoot back at the MG42 until it is dead, is BROKEN!!! That's right I said it, it's BROKEN. Relic, this had better be fixed next patch, or some people are going to be seriously pissed. And before anyone asks, yeah I'm mad. |
I find all mentions of balance on gr.org, the official forums and the one we are using right now, quite disconcerting. Their only saving grace is that players such as Inverse, Deeptrance83, CombatMuffin (at least allows that hasty patches are not the answer, citing Aimstrong's Bulletproof strat) and Hubewa are actually open-minded enough to think outside the box to defeat the current meta.
So many players are ignoring options they have been given by the game, and new mechanics. People love to just cry "imba", "op" and "broken" at the first sign of danger, but do not always factor in poor play, planning and strategy.
There are imbalances; but the discrepancies are not close to being as powerful as the vocal part of the community would have you believe. There are many games which go un-patched/cared for by the developers in which players actually have to think and evolve strategies around what they are given, rather than pine for a balance patch that will likely skew the meta in another direction until the next patch cycle.
I for one felt that during the TFN tournament (I watched all casted games in their entirety), there were a lot of missed opportunities by Ostheer players to capitalise on the games at hand, such as a dearth of smoke usage and blitzkrieg to flank SU-85s, as well as completely switching out of vehicles and opting for infantry + artillery-based tactics against non-shock trooper commanders. In some of the later games, a seemingly potent Ostheer strategy was to lock down a section of the map with a large tier 1 army into a panzer iv, which I think could posit a good outline for a staunch counter to the current Soviet t1-t3 strat.
Essentially I feel that the game should be given another few weeks before a patch is drawn up, so that the weight of automatch statistics will be overwhelming. There are simply too many unexplored nuances that could totally re-shape the metagame as it stands.
So, according to you the game is perfect then? No problems with the Pak40? Clown Cars with snipers in them are fine as they are? Oh and the Maxim is fine as well? The German strafe is also perfectly fine is it? The IS-2 is also totally worth 300 fuel too is it?
Dude don't be so naive. Just because Inverse says the balance is fine, doesn't mean fuck all. For god sake, he was saying the other day that the German Strafe is "prohibitively expensive" when everyone except for him knows that at 120 munitions is far too cheap.
You really have to take a step back and realise if the entire community except for a handful of people would like to see a patch, then chances are, statistically that the majority are right and the minority are wrong. It's just the way it is.
I am not a huge advocate for hasty patches either, but issues that are CLEARLY issues like the German Strafe, Clown Cars, Pak40 all need addressing as indicated by the MAJORITY, then Relic need to start there and slowly tweak things.
