just played against a prick who spammed assault grens and grens and then spammed pg's and then spammed p4s?
what kinda stuff did i have to counter it? molotov carrying meatsacks and maxims who spin around in circles, and AT guns that just get taken by the enemy
3 t34's lost a RNG slug out fest with a p4
shit's fucked
I'm sorry but if you lose three T34's to one P4, you are incredibly bad. |
How does player two go with Pop Cap problems? 4 x Grens, 1 x MG, 2 x Pios, 1 x MHT, 1 x Ost, 2 x P4, 1 x StuG, 1 x Tiger, 1 x Panther and a Brumbar??? That's a lot of units at any one time.
Is the strategy allowing for losses?
|
You teched AT nades at 3 minutes, it was a waste of resources at the time. You then proceeded to float something like 600mp before deciding what your 4th unit was going to be. This strat may be unbeatable but your replay doesn't show that.
I still think you'd be happier if you found a new hobby Dave.
Yeah CoD. They are waiting for him... |
Dave so constructive.
What do you expect from a 13 year old kid, that cries in the middle of game of how badly the game sucks. If the game sucks so bad Dave, as I've told you before, go back to Call of Duty and your buddies there. |
First of all, I tried to find if there were already threads about this matter, but atleast I couldn't find. So if there were, then I can continue the discussion at the original thread.
I would like to know your opinions about map rotation in CoH2. It seems that it's somehow broken or then we have some really random luck with my friend depending on the day.
It seems that the map rotation doesn't work correctly. Actually there's an easy way to proof that I would post the numbers of times played per map. But right now I'm not in a place where I can do that so you have to just take my word.
Anyway I have noticed that the most common maps seems to be something around Moscow Outskirts, Rzhev or Pripyat (generally). And it seems that it really depends on the day. On average day if I / we with my friends play around 4 matches, sometimes we get same map 3 times and some other map only one time. And also the most highest maps on the map listing we rarely get. I've played a little more than 100 games and I have played 2-5 times Langreskaya e.g. It doesn't make any sense. I rarely choose veto's to maps and when I do, it might be snow maps if I'm playing with my 2nd computer which doesn't have that good performance. So I'm trying to avoid Blizzard maps.
Anyone else have noticed something like this? Could Relic maybe comment on this?
I've played 300 games and have yet to play on Langreska either version. :/ |
I feel like I am missing something when I read this thread. Penal battalions are pretty good. They are a direct counter to Panzer Grenadiers and can 1v1 any German squad. Just don't spam them like they are conscripts. Get one or two squads and get the flamethrower.
I think that's the issue. People think they can just go right for penal squads instead of getting conscripts. You lose the map that way. If you want to incorporate penal battalions sensibly, try this build order.
Recommended building order:
Conscript -> Conscript -> Conscript -> T1 -> Sniper -> Penal Battalion -> AT grenades -> medical station
Use your penal battalions as a general anti-infantry unit or to side cap. Keep your sniper with your conscripts.
The problem with Penal Troops is as soon as the Germans get a Scout Car or a Flame Half Track, they are pretty much screwed. They also do not scaled very well at all, the might counter Pgrens with the Flamethrower, but a good German player will just weaken your Penals first with a Scout Car. |
Part of the reason why there is no Jagdpanther is that there isn't too much need for that class of tank hunter yet.
Both T-34 versions, as well as all Soviet armor is already outclassed by every German armor. Since normal German armor can already effectively fight Soviet armor, a tank that can only fight armor even better isn't needed in the meta.
We will see it at some point, especially since they can reuse the model from CoH1 (ah the beauty of developing high res models to downres). But it'll come out sometime after a more T-34 friendly meta is established. Real world stats-wise, it'll be even better at killing SU-85s from the front, and we really don't need more of that.
How much more T34 friendly do you want? There is NOTHING wrong with the T34 vs P4 match up as it stands right now. You need to micro your T34 and throw an AT nade on the engine of the P4 and it will win every time. T34 is only 280mp and 85 fuel and rapes infantry as well as competing with a P4.
A P4 is 320mp and 115 fuel is okay vs inf and good vs all Soviet tanks if supported. The thing you can not simply compare these two models in a vacuum anyway as there are far too many other elements to consider which makes both of them good at their current role. Guards, Cons and T34 combo at the moment is very very good, then again so is Grens, Shrek PGrens and P4.

LOL that was NOT me. That would be Slim - a top 5 player in VCoH. You got worked in that game though and left so gj on your part. Thanks for proving my point about the skils-forum posting gap. To be sure, input lag is a real issue just like the boring meta, blizzards, and bad maps. Also a real issue is stupidity.
Actually yeah it was you and if I recall correctly it was Slim who did 90% of the work in that game and all you did was spam Grens mortars and a FHT, lots of skills involved there. Anyway if the game is not good enough for an elitist like yourself, go back to Call of Duty where you belong. |
How the hell does this system protect the innocent player? I got drop hacked by a player with 8 drops and 43 disputes and I have 1 drop and 0 disputes and he gets the win???
Why haven't Relic implemented a better system? How does this system work as I can't understand it. |
Right now they are too much of a liability to even make and not very useful resulting in snoozefest early game gren spam vs conscript spam. There's no variability in strategies. Granted that pre-nerfstick they were a bit too powerful, but there was no need to single handily decrease hp, setup time, dmg dealt, and suppression time without testing the in game effects on the meta. The overuse of rng criticals and the decreased suppression make it pretty easy to just walk up to an mg and throw a molotov - poof, gone. What has happened is a lynchpin that differentiated the two factions from each other has become useless and highly ineffective. Now, parody reigns supreme.
What is so hard about making it so the mg42 functions exactly the same as the VCoH version? Furthermore, why does this current group at relic insist on overdoing something, and then trying to reign it back in rather than incrementally testing/doing what is necessary to bring units to a comfortable standard? Why not just decrease the hp of the mg and the swing rate (but less than you already did - it wasn't THAT heavy) but leave the suppression (sans the bulletin)? This is resulting in a clusterfuck for the meta which, with each patch, gets more and more ridiculous and random. The game is just so boring, and there is almost 0 variety in the early game. You add in new units and then after a day or two make them unusable (like seriously, who can afford the munitions cost of assault grens now and still win?). From a technical standpoint with the introduction of debilitating elements like blizzards, input lag, and p2p/screen lag, and MORE rng elements than its predecessor the game is already years behind other games on the market - even on outdated consoles. It's insanely frustrating to think that you're still charging people dlc prices for a game that can barely work without crashing or lagging. Why make it so hard on yourself? Clearly you were underfunded, and you don't have the capabilities either within the framework of your own game, which you can't even add leader boards into, or from the staff to construct a viable vision with much cohesion. Borrow from your last game that actually was a success and an achievement. If the guys you brought in to help test your game in the first place actually still played it, you could ask them, but they've been turned off, even the guy who wrote a strategy guide for the game.
There is something that's really easy to use that's called a paragraph, try using it next time.
Anyway aren't you that whining kid the other day that cried because I killed your mortar with a Molotov, that you didn't retreat after it had been burning for 30 secs, then blamed input delay...
Take your elitist attitude somewhere else, you acted like a total utter clown the other day in game, trolling, whining and baiting for a fight. Go back to Call of Duty. |
