Don't worry mate. Everything is fine. I mean rifles are still more powerful, tommies will still beat your grens and Penals are getting some nice buffs so they can still shit on your grens but can also counter light vehicles now.
Grens got some huge indirect buffs don't you say?!
They aren't supposed to be able to win under equal circumstances, just not get walked over way too easily and buy time for other squads. That's why the unit costs a lot less manpower... though the reinforce cost really should get cut down to 28MP... |
Right, the demo and flamethrower are good, but the still deserves a buff. A close range unit for 280MP and glass-cannon survival-ability was never a good idea |
Nope, they are Excelent, just get one-shooted very often which this patch should fix |
Replacing the Penals flamethrower upgrade with PTRS would be great
|
Well, fu@k the spelling anyway.
Armour truck? Do you mean that HQ which can produce Luchs, Puma or Stuka? If you already had that built you could have tried shooting it with Puma from max range, though you would possibly need a stuka too as they might repair faster than puma shoots (bloody frustrating to imagine, indeed)
As for the leig one will handle bofors too, it just takes a bit longer.
Either way, 1 rakketen, one Sturmpioneers squad with panzerschreck and volks squad with faust should at least hold the cromwell back.
As for the doctrine, the one with fusilers is ideal, those guys do Ok vs tommies, although regular volks with upgrade would be just as good, but for a really prolonged game, jagdtiger is extremely deadly.
BTW if your opponent doesnt have the Special weapons regiment commander, you might try to go for luchs first, find a way around the bofors, no matter how much area it covers (even if you would need to sacriface a volks squad to draw fire) and head straight for his HQ. If he doesnt place his AT gun into a position where it could aim for your luchs and at the same time have the bofors nearby it to prevent circling around the gun, he is fu@ked -this is really nasty, but then again, if he built a bofors too early... he asked for it |
Double leig will put it down in two minutes, no matter the brace. Or puma outranges it.
Dont mind the brace, as it lasts 30 seconds, while you can keep shooting it forever, especially if they built it early
BTW how did that misspell catch on? Almost everyone drops that S
Once you master the double leig killing, you can also try droping his health down to half, then cease fire, wait with a camoed rakketen nearby and once his sappers start repairing it, you open fire again, possibly wiping them |
If it is fun they the rest of the factions should have equal chances for fun and should have smoke available to their mainline infantry...
Actually smoke is good but is should available to other units and not mainline infantry...
Riflemen are OP and that was fine as long as they had cost inefficient support weapon. Once their support weapons become cost efficient the riflemen cost efficiency needs to go down smoke is good place to start...
Rifles have to close in to the enemy (or pay a sh@itload or ammo) to fight effectively + cost a lot more... so its fair that they have the smoke |
Really bad, although its surely a fault of only part of the team.
Good thing is that they made the system with in-game money (or supplies)
Bad thing is that it took almost two years.
Another bad... no, wait-the worst thing about them is that they release some stupid and impossible to not notice bugs with almost every patch. Did they really find the MG-like fire-rate of USF tanks not weird at all? Or when Leigs with vet 2 bonus were able to move faster than any tank? Nothin weird about that, right? And then spend a whole week waiting, before releasing a fix that breaks it even more.
Then there is a design of commanders. (Indeed this may be Sega's fault, in which case it doesnt count) I still miss the days of release, when commanders would only upgrade your army in several areas that were already covered by core units anyway. From that, they advanced to release commanders who either have a pretty essential stuff that always should have been in the core army (like a non-vet blocked snare in Brits special weapons regiment), commanders who turn the whole army's play-style upside down (Bosstruppen) and those with some ridiculously OP stuff, so people buy it ASAP and then they nerf it. (Callliope)
We also have balance which recently made quite a step up, but we're still stuck with a handfull of terrible units without a role that wouldnt be filled by something else (Ostwind, Conscripts, Basic Churchill, M3, Flame Hetzer, 17 pounder, Soviet core mortar, USF mortar halftrack, Brits royal arty commander)
And then bugsplat...
Lets not forget about the matchmaking. There were times when it would find an unbalanced match after less than a minute of searching. There were times when it would find a well balanced one after more than six minutes of searching. Now it finds an unbalanced one after more than seven minutes. But there never was a long enough time of finding a balanced match in less than two minutes of searching, in spite of the player-base being huge enough for it
So, what they should do is immidiately fire a testing team... assuming that they have one and promptly replace it. Then finally remove crashes and lags and errors. Then make sure that every unit in the game has a reason to be used

how do you counter in 1v1 maxim spam - to mortars to guards- The 222 is not really great and the pin with the mg is a little ridiculas
counter mortar and just sit 1 vp?
just seems ost 1v1 is very weak
OKW may be in trouble, but as OST you can be glad if they went maxim spam. Entire T0+T1 is a counter to maxims. Your own MG42 in a building or green cover deals with at least one maxim, turbo-sniping major Koenig wrecks the whole six man crew in no-time, grens are really not 100% reliable against it but they can rifle-nade it from the safety of green cover and pios with flamethrower are excelent for a cat and mouse game where they use true sight to ambush Maxim entering a building. One mortar is a nice help too. |
Sure, because it isnt already an insane disadvantage past the three minutes to use a close range infantry, r-right? |
