Current SU85 vet2 receives big nerf. The change from 0.7x reload to 1.3x penetration is just a cover. Actually, its dps bonus reduces greatly from 1/0.7=1.43x to 1.3x.
In other word, that's 30% reduction for vet 2 bonus, no less.
DPS doesn't matter for much if shots don't consistently penetrate. So, yes, pre-mod vet SU-85 was amazing against mediums, but lacking against heavy tanks; which meant it served largely the same role as the SU-76, which is far cheaper. |
Pretty sure the rotation speed was buffed in the original update.
- Rotation rate from 20 to 22
It suplements su-76 now, instead of overlapping with it.
This. Soviets now have a light/medium tank destroyer, much like the Ostheer Stug, and a TD designed to tackle heavies. Great changes overall. |
So if Penals are no longer getting the Assault Package, could Conscripts get a non-doctrinal PPSh upgrade? Or even DP-28s? |
It's kinda funny / ironic how at release most people hated the idea of bulletins and now a bunch of people complain about losing their stacked bonuses. Death to the rich - until you become one.
I think bulletins were always a horrible design idea to begin with, and what Relic is doing here is basically killing it without causing (too much) loss aversion on players. You can still pretend your +2% whatever bulletin will make any difference in the game, but it really won't. And I think that's good.
Agreed in full. |
Isn't this typical? Some People complain that unit A is OP, they even come up with nickname so that every time they refer to unit they can point out how OP it is.
Who's complaining that the GrW 34 is OP since its nerf months ago? |
Without stacking, bulletins will be completely pointless.
Is that really such a bad thing, though? I think it would have been better had bulletins never been added in the first place (although their historical flavor text is a nice touch). |
happily pay 260 if death loop is gone
Exactly my thoughts. Disappointed that the death loop has not been addressed yet, although I think the nerfs, particularly the set-up time, were largely warranted. |
Edit: never mind. |
Probably a necessity, or it could be literally possible for blobs to block tanks when they're next to terrain features. Crushing happens when infantry fails to get out of a vehicle moving into them - if they didn't die from it, the vehicle would be blocked by them, so without crushing, infantry next to terrain they can't walk through would block tanks from going through them either. Unless of course they made vehicles phase through infantry that can't get out of the way (probably something they'd rather not do for obvious reasons).
This makes good sense. I've just always found it a tad silly that mediums with high speed and/or acceleration (Cromwell, Panzer IV with blitz) or even something like the T-34/76 often manage to dispatch even a couple of infantry squads more quickly by running them over than by using their vehicle's weapons. |
I'm not sure why mediums, Allied or Axis, have the ability to crush in the first place, to be frank. Is it really necessary? |
