Grens are 4-man, 30mp per model squads, whereas USF squads are both bigger and less expensive; combined with rifles being better (and cheaper) than grens, giving them the ability to MP drain OST that hard would make USF insanely overpowered. This was my thought as well when someone brought this up on reddit. Rifles already outclass Grens at all stages of the game (except for the brief period in most games where Grens have an LMG and USF has not yet gotten BARs or LMGs of their own). Grens would have absolutely no chance against Rifles if a Sniper was dropping them to 3 models before the Rifle / Gren fight even started. I am, however, not necessarily opposed to them adding a 2 or 3 CP Sniper to Recon Commander or something like that. Obviously it would be the main attraction of that commander and you'd never combine it with LMGs or a Pershing or something. In: COH2 Balance

I find it frustrating that the 222 meta right now makes the LT more or less pointless / suicide as USF, and especially since they're removing the Zooks from Captain. Thread: Bazookas6 May 2016, 20:51 PM USF doesn't have a lot of tools to fight heavies. Jacksons, swarming Wolverines, swarming Easy 8's. Typically it isn't even worth trying to take on a KT if you don't have some hand-held AT around to give you a bit of a better chance. All of this requires combined arms and micro while the heavy simply has to have reasonable support and A-moved forward. You can't tell me a Bazooka blob is effective against a KT when half the shots won't penetrate and one blast from a KT will decimate any USF player bad enough to A-move a blob towards it. Nerfing Bazookas specifically so they suck more against the hardest targets to kill in the game is completely counter-intuitive and will only put USF further behind the Axis factions in the late game. Thread: Relic: Week 1 Update to the Balance Mod6 May 2016, 18:05 PM I don't think you can just toss Shreks onto Sturms or any unit without taking a serious look at their veterancy bonuses since hand-held AT allows for such easy / rapid veterancy. If this stupid gardening faction didn't inexplicably still have 5 levels of veterancy, it would be less of an issue. In: Lobby
Thread: Relic: Week 1 Update to the Balance Mod6 May 2016, 12:01 PM Does anyone else think it's a little insane that OKW has everything they need to destroy Allied medium armor and utterly annihilate light armor / vehicles in T0? Panzerfaust on Volks, Panzershrek on Sturms, and a cheap ATG that can cloak and retreat, now with a wider arc of fire? IMO if OKW has the Shrek back on Sturms, they should lose the Faust on Volks. It's just too much, there's no weakness... particularly when you look at the late game and they have not one but TWO tank destroyers (Jagdpanzer and Panther) with the best heavy tank as a default tech reward / T0 unit...
