Either tone down the vehicle, which is questionable currently, or make allied AT guns more accessible for USF and give UKF snares. Soveiets have had the easier time vs the luchs with cons being meta and with that often t2 coming out. I think the problem is that the Luches has to be fairly potent since OKW generally has to forgo healing in order to go Mechanized. If the payoff for getting a Luches isn't big enough then most players aren't going to be willing to have to use Medkits or delaying medium armor in order to backtech to medics in order to build the Luches. I still remember my mind being blown when I learned about how to use the tab key while inside garrisons to pick which door to leave from. Aside from that it helps to have a through understanding of game mechanics (stuff like how green cover bonus is canceled within 10M makes a big difference). I find that learning how to manage Manpower bleed helps a lot to - knowing when to retreat low health/high model squads for healing can translate into a big manpower advantage. That and knowing when to bail early from a losing engagement (when there is no value in stalling your opponent). In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: soviet mortar should not get flare by default2 May 2018, 14:01 PM I didn't realize Flares were so OP - it must be why you see nothing but Rifle Company and Fusi spam for their Flares too. Not to mention the sad fact that they created Jaeger Command Squad but OST players use him as nothing more than a Flare platform. Soviet Mortar definitely needs a nerf if it's going to keep it's Vet 0 Flares - might I suggest moving it's reload from 10 seconds to 15? In: COH2 Balance

How so ? Early maxim or Vickers in a prominent garrison is the biggest headache for OKW since Flak HT sucks vs. Garrison, mechanized takes forever, and ISG doesn't do enough damage. Sturms can't do shit unless it's basic infantry squad in a 1-2 window house. In: COH2 Balance

I would opt for something that at least leaves them with a fair chance. Alternatively the cost reduction could take place once a tech building has been constructed. This way the price increase mentioned above would not have an impact on the mid to late game. Another option would be to go the old Panzerfaust route and unlock Grenades as soon as a SWS Truck is built - that way there is some investment/forethought needed but you don't get punished for going Mechanized and having to wait longer for the fuel to place the truck. Thread: Heavy Gammon bombs (hammer/anvil redesign)30 Apr 2018, 16:35 PM If I were to change gammon bombs I would say just make it so that they work like the old AT Satchel where they track but cancel if the tank drives out of range. A tracking gammon bomb that only causes temporary engine damage wouldn't be OP and would be a soft fix to the Brit's problem of lacking snares without being a major redesign since it'd be a teching choice and come fairly late. Otherwise I tend to agree that they are aren't very useful at all unless it's against the most braindead of opponents. Plus I'm pretty sure Relic always intended Gammon bombs to be an additional snare option for Brits but the timer just makes them impossible to use as a snare. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: British mortar pit30 Apr 2018, 13:58 PM Simply put the Mortar Pit was the victim of the patented Relic triple nerf (Brace, Range, incoming repairs while braced) and now it's not survivable enough while being forced to be built closer to the front lines. I think it needs more than just a cost reduction in the SBP. I think partially reverting the Brace nerf wouldn't be the worst thing ever because now I find the issue is you don't have enough time to mount a counter-attack if forced to brace in the first place and if you're forced to retreat it's good as dead. Because it has shorter ranger than other AT guns and no gunshield which provides Green Cover to some of the weapon crew of PAKs if I understand correctly - so Rak is less durable. It's mostly a holdover from original OKW design where Volk Shrek blobs could cover for rinky-dink Raks but once they redesigned OKW they had to buff Rak to compensate and somehow they ended up with Stealth. Just be glad they got rid of that ridiculous 100% movement speed at Vet 1 shenanigans. Even then, some tanks like HE Shermans laugh at Rak. In: COH2 Balance
