Wut? Partisans and Reserve Army have completely fallen out of the meta after they nerfed infiltration units. At best AT Partisans are good to finish off an already damaged vehicles with a cheeky shrek but after that they are just one giant MP sink and stick you with a commander with minimal late game scaling. |

I think at least tying Command P4 to BP2 would be a good idea - it undercuts the Mobile Defense strategy you see sometimes of solely relying on Call-ins (Puma into Command P4). It still is a viable commander if you need a Panic Puma but it's not so attractive where you can skip techning and crutch on Aura + Support Weapons if you're fuel starved. I'm always a fan of rewarding good early play and eliminating overly strong comeback mechanics (cough cough old Tiger Ace). Especially since Command P4 has just as good AI as P4 if not better in my experience. Edit - That and by tying Command P4 to BP2 you can reward OST players who have good early fuel income to get Command P4 earlier and maybe open up new strategies. |
It's definitely on the lower end of commanders (aside from maybe trolling OKW early with the WC51 before they get fausts). Infantry is better if you want Mortar Halftrack, EZ8 is better if you want advanced medium, the list goes on... |
They reduced the cost and tweaked the aoe damage (pretty big buff to mid range damage). I find that it's rather good now myself - wrecks the crap out of ISGs if OKW tries to do truck city. Still the same disadvantages but it's performance outshines the mortar now that they've nerfed all mortars aside from garrison performance. |

I think for the most part each faction has its own problems with dealing with certain things. For example Soviets can have a hard time relying on just Non-PPSH Cons if they start to fall behind or USF can have a hard time dealing with players who try to turtle. And so on and so forth. Don't think any faction is overtly strongest but each faction can shine in certain situations or with certain unit compositions. |
I've come across a recurring problem where I'll get severe performance issues during Matches with heavy terrain deformation due to Arty spam and the like (especially on Winter maps where snow makes it even worse). My graphics settings are already pretty low but I was wondering if there was one graphic setting(s) that would help the most with preventing lag due to terraforming because it's really frustrating to lose long matches just because of lag. Thanks in advance. |
I really fail to see how the Barrage change makes the unit more OP than before.
Assuming Vet 2 damage bonus applies to Barrage then it's still doing less damage than the old free barrage (albeit more accurate and with better AoE). I have yet to see one person say that the current Zis Barrage is OP and I don't think placing it on tracks will put it over the top into OP territory. At best it's a lateral move where it gets a better barrage that actually costs something now. If a Sov player wants to blow all their munitions spamming it then so be it - less Mines and off-maps to deal with. It means barrage becomes a tactical choice instead of a no-brainer "No tanks around? Barrage anything because it's free and canceling it means nothing to me!"
Bottom line is SU-76 still got nerfed while retaining its current weaknesses of paper armor and shit moving accuracy. It's going to be performing worse vs. armor regardless so why quibble about how it was/should have been nerfed? |

Anymore it seems like Bofors has to be used defensively to cover fuel or VPs from harassment on maps where each side has a safer point that it usually holds. (E.g. Minsk Pocket) Either that or to cover flanking routes - but honestly paying that much fuel and popcap to do that isn't really worth it. There really isn't an easy answer because any buff could easily tilt things back to cheesy sim city tactics and it's better to leave it as UP than that. I suppose you could shift Vet around so that it gets some extra health earlier to make it a little more survivable or something more benign like that. |
