it has everything about to do, people complaining about Brace are usually blobbers, people not having multi micro skill.
Brace counter A-move blob and brainless Arty barrage the same way hitting retreat button does when your mobile mortar squad meet a blob or is focused by enemy superior arty.

They do. It's not like 1 shell gonna wipe them, unless you are unlucky.
You can even stand in the middle of Katyusha rockets and you have chances to surive.
And that's the whole point. You can move your mortars to save them from arty but you cant do that with pit.
Not to mentions things like at guns killing mortars.
Then place your emplacement better ffs. they are meant as defensive support not front line units ffs. |
What do you do when you see red flares over your mortars or when you hear rockets? You move them away or retreat to save them. And funny fact, it does not cost any ammo.

People have difficulties with the concept of brace and strategies to adopt around it. It is like, or unlike blobbing.
To be honest, I'm not surprised people complains a lot about Brace in 2vs2. Because 2vs2 has become a blobbing slug-fest till the highest ranks.
This means, same at the highest rank in 2vs2, you'll fine a lot of people who only know to blobb, and to blobb well in fact, combined with their mate with a unique splendid BO with few variant.
They can be listed really quickly: 2x Blob, 1x Blob together, 1x Blob + 1 spam support.
Brace is fortunately, or unfortunately a stopgap vs those strategies when they are poorly executed which is most of the cases.
To make an analogy, for the people who played Wow Vanilla long time ago, it is like fighting Vaelastraz, the so called clan/guilde killer. The easiest Boss encounter never made, but requiring high personal skill and knowledge of his own character to take down.

Conscript v Gren match-ups ceased to be important the moment WFA was released. Brits didn't help that.
Also, conscripts fighting un-upgraded grenadiers is such a tiny window in the overall scheme of gameplay that there is little sense treating it like a golden cow.
But I've got to say, it still baffles me that Soviets still don't have a stock PPSh upgrade for conscripts. Just three so it can stack with the doctrinal PPSh.

Grens are fine.
Why does half the community try to make all the units identical? Stop trying to turn grenadiers into volks, and vice versa. I see the same people here in the volks thread asking for 5 man gren squads and volks with fausts... seriously? Stop trying to make this game so copy/paste and bland. Grens have a disadvantage because they are only 4 men. That is counterbalanced by doing good damage, having good veterancy, a snare, and a fantastic weapon upgrade. You don't need to remove every disadvantage a unit has just because you don't like it.
nothing to do with the with copypaste here. the grens get 1 shotted far to often with a single mortar strike , mine or even a single shot from a tank. which is why people want the 5th man.
And nothing is more infuriating then seeing your vet 3 gren squad gone because of a lucky rng mortar strike. |
But when Im playing sim city, 7/10 times I see 4 volks blob getting smashed by pit or blobbed straight into boforos and then Im called X or Y becasue my enem thought he can blob as usual without any losses.

I would say the okw has no way countering emplacements from the cancer commander. leigh get will get shot by the arty return fire while the stuka simply doesnt do enough damage .In fact i have seen an upgraded emplacement take 3 stuka attacks without brace.
Ostheer mt-ht makes short work of any emplacement however.
I would say this has become so problematic that i would suggest that stuka incendiary barrage is moved to vet 1 |
