Thread: The T 34 problem2 Jun 2013, 13:25 PM It's a relentlessly spammable unit, that's the problem. And, yeah, the ram ability is OP. Having said that I play 50/50 wehr / soviet. I think people are failing to anticipate when they play Wehr... you are completely reactive and have to respond to the sov player not the opposite. As soon as I even sniff T34s then I concentrate on ATGs and shreks, in fact I'm at the point where munis are more important than fuel. Also, a T34 spammer will usually spam conscripts, so holding the line with a solid T1 / T2 start then returning the serve with a nicely supported StuG can turn the tide. I'm also noticing that folks aren't building mines in this game, sovs cant help but build flamers and let their vehicles run into AT mines. In: COH2 Balance

As a spectator and fan of tournie play, Ami, I agree that this might well be a pain in the arse. I suggested to Quinn that an ironman 1 v 1 mode be introduced that strips away non-canonical commanders and int bulletins for tournie play, maybe this is the way forward. After all, only a handful of maps are deemed good enough for tournie play, maybe the same will happen with commanders. In: Lobby

Does Tiger Woods play with the same set of golf clubs as the competition? Does Bradley Wiggins use precisely the same bike as the rest of the peloton? No. I think that tournaments should have rules where only certain loadouts are allowed, but skilful use of doctrines and int updates should be part of pro play. I really do. And if that means that 'pros' should invest in extremely cheap pieces of DLC (please, figure out the hours you play versus what you've paid and tell me its expensive) then so be it. I'm not trolling or being a contrarian, I've thought about this a lot. Competition has never been 'fair' every sportsperson has 'the aggregation of marginal difference' at the heart of their winning regime. And the truly awesome player will still beat a lesser one with "all the gear and no idea." In: Lobby
