Edit: I'm not saying A_E is a member of the chorus but FFS the entitlement vibe is strong atm elsewhere on the board. DLC is a fact of life, RTS or no RTS. It's like arguing about the death of the typewriter or those new-fangled carbon golf clubs. A_E's faux-shock at the concept of paying for stuff that other people don't have is amusing. How else do you think Relic will support a six-year-plus game cycle so you can play this game in the future? If XPs were an optimal method of doing this then I'm sure they would, but the vCoH grognards (of which, incidentally, I am one having been playing since 2007) still hate on the vCoH Xps anyhow. Tournaments can have strict rules that prohibit certain commanders. The purity fetish of the competitive community will remain unsullied. The rest of us, who enjoy this game on a number of different levels, can then got on and have fun Rant over. In: COH2 Gameplay

This commander is a guilty pleasure, although I don't think it shines in 1 v 1 as much as bigger games when it's a complete win button (just played a 4 v 4 where two Opels allowed me to spam 2 Tigers. Cheesy? Sure. Fun. You betchya!). Given the fragility of the Opel, though, in 1 v 1 it's very vulnerable. A lone M3 or one squad of scripts can take it out easily. But, yeah, that Stuka cover is awesome, I'd raise it to 200 munis so you use it more selectively. In: COH2 Balance

The M3 should be like a building in that only a limited number of troops can fire out of it, and in the case of the flamethrower, accuracy is reduced. So a sniper could fire out of it but with a reload and accuracy penalty. Ditto a flamethrower. A normal squad could only have two rifles / smgs firing from it. This would require hardly any alteration to wehr, as this rewards good micro on both sides. Skilful positioning of the clown cars (because you'd need more for the tactic to work, making the fuel sacrifice more of an early game issue) would still reap rewards plus the wehr infantry, if micro'd properly, would get the chance to counter the clown car with fausts. I would give the M3 a very marginal armour upgrade to compensate. However, I wouldn't change the existing M3 armament at all. It's a good unit in of itself, a turbocharged vCoH jeep. It's just that the carrying armed units thing that is causing the problem. In: COH2 Gameplay
