They may also have some capability to Predator cloak out of trouble if they're open and then activate it while in combat. With the speed penalty, they ain't phasing JPIVs or nothing, but it's something. In: COH2 Balance

They finally fixed all the March deployment problems and the Ostheer versus Soviets meta was varied and fair. Even t1 builds were practical. The game is better now, no denying it, all the changes to teching and pacing have improved the game. Balance was still best between 2 armies created opposing each other though. And then free trucks drove into Allied infantry so they autolose firefights, providing one of the weirdest balance issues I've ever seen in my gaming career. In: COH2 Gameplay

It has Tigers, Panthers and Elefants which were already there in 1943. Especially the unvetted Panzer IV seems to be an Ausf. F or G which is from that time. The StuG Ausf. E and Kommandopanzer IV are definitely early war units. The units Ostheer has are just from a time where the new German designs arrived and thus it´s hardly noticeable that Ostheer uses equipment from the same timeframe the Soviets do in Coh. It also has StG 44s though, which I think are called MP44s in the game, so...should be '44 then. In: COH2 Gameplay

The same one where they frequently got 34-85s, ISUs, IS-2s in their base buildings and sometimes a combination of them? And usually Shocks or Guards there too (and once, both of them)? If the Soviet players got units in their base buildings like they did at the end of the campaign, they'd cry themselves dead in joy. The real problem with the Soviet units' portrayal in it was the absence of the DShK and keeping Order 227 throughout the war (which admittedly was pretty bad, and stranger still the website included an image mentioning Order 227 lasted three months so that would imply they knew the history and kept it in regardless). Compare it to the Riflemen Riflenade where it's a guy aiming slightly higher than normal and ridiculously hard to see. . It took me ages to realize that actually has an animation. Though to be fair you'd be assuming your opponent is the worst player ever if they have vehicle snares in range and they aren't using them, so it isn't that important... In: COH2 Balance
