Show me the other factions that can actually get all of their tech then. (You can't. They won't ever because it costs them even more without the fuel penalty than it does for OKW.) And vet 5 isn't hard on infantry units, it was fairly easy six months ago until everything on legs gets wiped constantly now. The vehicles are definitely harder though - I'd regard the Jagdpanzer IV as probably easiest of the vehicles to earn it. I'd be pretty happy with reducing the XP requirements on OKW vehicles to make vet 5 a bit more attainable. In: COH2 Balance

That sounds working as intended to me since they put a munition and fuel penalty on them in exchange for a total cheaper tech with its own bonuses and vet 5. When gunner gets knocked out, it really simple to finish MG, and that will happen fast in the open. You and I both know the gunner will be fucked against blobs if the blobs ever get in range, so I can agree with his point - it may be better to set up spread out of cover and hoping they'll stay out of range entirely instead of letting every Precision Shot and grenade wipe them. The IS2 has much, much better mobility allowing it to assault enemy positions and get away without taking to much damage. 240 HP ain't peanuts In: COH2 Gameplay

There is not a single useless ability with Rifle Commander. It is so redonk. The XP should just be set at vet 1, no more. It might still need work after that, but it'll be a lot more tolerable than well, what you've described. Which is currently not balanced right now in comparison to all the other options, but is a very good thing. None of us want commanders filled with good options along with bad options, we want them all to work well. In: COH2 Balance

Eh, I really wouldn't like that. Who wants a doctrine option that's mostly there for when you're losing units? Like Rapid Conscription/Relief Infantry, except requiring it go even worse for ya! I'd rather remove the randomness of the XP to make it vet 1 only on spawning and go from there, because the times when a veteran Riflemen squad comes in and gets vet 2 in the first firefight are real silly times.
