Because you can't buy vet in CoH2 (Not talking about Elite Commander now) this shouldnt be a problem. And if the opponents can punish you by killing a vetted squad (wich is also harder to take down) he should get rewarded. Not saying you should lose the game by losing one squad. But you should feel it and not being able to replace it in a couple of minuts. I dunno, before squads constantly touched dicks (so it's way easier to lose them now), regaining the vet was quite possible, but still took valuable time - a rifle infantry squad felt like it would likely at least take say 10 minutes to get vet 3. I thought it was at a pretty good level then. But now when advanced AI vehicles come out, squad-wipes probably follow one after the other when the replacements arrive. In: COH2 Gameplay

The theory is not really have to worry about that because having vetted infantry earlier than your enemy will facilitate aggressively taking the enemy's territory - thus, if it makes it to late-game anyway, you should have a significant resource advantage to give you the edge. So basically "I don't need bulletins for late-game if my bulletins can stomp out the mid-game". And really...the other bulletins are still going to feel dubiously noticeable compared to having a vet advantage for crucial moments in the game. In: COH2 Gameplay

Right now is just a interesting idea on paper, that would probably fail on the execution. And you can buy minesweepers to demo charges Hardly makes demo charges fine gameplay. Kinda depends on the map how effective that counter is to pull off too. Downright impossible on a few urban ones, though usually not too hard for most 1v1s. Depends on faction too, Soviets can just have CEs with flamers set every building they meet on fire and leave it to burn down while it'll take a lot longer for USF to get things that kill buildings quickly. REs can hope to wire off the buildings though. In: COH2 Balance

They also murder falshims when upgraded with some decent weapons... Why the hell are they 380mp when falshims are a insane 440? Paras also can't drop anywhere and live doing so if it isn't the most open area ever. Paras are 60 less MP than Falls because they can't absolutely wreck snipers and weapon teams on spawning unless they retreat instantly...and honestly sometimes even then. Also take a lot longer to drop in compared to Falls just walking out of the building. I'd welcome Falls costing less but they'd have to not spawn with FG42s...so quite win-win changes. Thread: What good is the tiger tank?12 May 2015, 20:47 PM I didn't really think the IS-2 was a problem before the infantry bunching. It really was pretty poor against infantry in return for the armour. Infantry bunching however made it from "Doesn't hit too often and slowly, probably will kill a few guys when it does" to "Doesn't hit too often and slowly, but probably wipes when it does" which is definitely quite a change in realistic effectiveness. 'Course the Tiger's wiping left and right too, but doesn't make the IS-2 just right. It's dumb in both cases. In: Lobby
