There is no such thing as explosive vests. So, it would be more realistic to provide them with armour. Although its specifically against infantry and does not help against explosives. It will help anyways. It's not a matter of whether or not it will help them, it's that it helps them against things they don't need help with. They don't need help against small arms, so buffing them against it doesnt make sense. You can't just buff it because you want to, doing that will negatively effect the balance of the overall game In: COH2 Gameplay

Tbh I'd like to experiment with a new vet 1 ability that gives grens slightly more accuracy against suppressed models to synergize with the mg42 and be able to better punish blobs as a pair. The mg42 is a fantastic weapon but we lose dps when it's commanding an area due to the modifiers of Supression. Something like this is much more reasonable. Buffing grens in any more direct way is going too far IMO. Conscripts are trash and their buff is locked behind t4 and prevents doctrinal upgrades. Giving grens a cover bonus from the get-go is asking too much I think In: COH2 Balance

They've been applied to the preview mod, which you can download, and use in custom matches. Not sure how you got the impression that they have already been applied, the last several major patches have been handled this way In: COH2 Balance

We already see them so rarely (in 1v1s), this will remove them forever from the game. Did you even read the poll? The idea is to tie them to tech and improve them accordingly.
