I'd honestly like to hear how the primarily allied players would counter a croc backed by a firefly in 1v1. If the "big and slow" heavy tanks should have high rear armor because of that, shouldn't we buff JT rear armor to like 200? I mean it's the slowest tank in the game right?
What does the croc+firefly have to do with this thread? It has normal heavy tank health and 290 armor, it's very different from the Churchill. If you ask the same question about firefly+Churchill, just use AT guns and spot
JT has 525 armor. The Churchill has 240. AT guns have far less than a 50% chance frontally on a JT point blank, 80% at max range on a Churchill |
Also, I once suggested an old Soviet self repair style muni drain when active
Yes on the official forums right? I thought it was either you or Lazarus who i was drawing from. I think a flat cost and a set scan duration would be my preferred method tho
Also +1 to your bghq replacement idea. Being honest i thought that the jp4 being there was okay, at most it was just weird. But hardly gamebreaking |
I would:
Drop health to standard heavy tank levels-even as a meatshield it is a bit forgiving
Limit it to 1 on field as a call in (similar treatment to comet to make it attractive) once anvil is etched-its easier to balance knowing it can't be massed
Reduce popcap and price to compensate-this makes it easier to make it part of your army without being either dead weight or absolutely overpowered
This is too much IMO and decreasing it's price is not a good trade-off. It needs stat buffs if you're gonna nerf it's health to other heavy levels while it still has 240 armor. Otherwise it brings nothing to the table.
I don't understand the need for a limit if you've taken away it's only strength |
IRHT should be doctrinal. Idk what they should replace it with in BGHQ, but that type of unit should not be stock, period. Unless its re-designed so that the sweeping has a recurring muni cost or something like that. |
This meant that there's been a few weeks of down time for those not involved with the implementation, so in the mean time, we've been brainstorming some stuff we'd like to see in the future, conditions allowing. Not all of these changes are as much of a no brainer as this sturm officer stuff though. The list is about as far from official as it gets, and we're not even decided on what direction we would like to take some stuff to be honest. The bottom line is that at the minimum, I'd imagine we'd want to wait until the new commander patch is released, bug fixed, and rebalanced (a lot of stuff pops up when you have ~20000 people a day play testing, and not 10) before we even think about submitting this list to the community.
Ah well that makes sense. Just was curious, thanks for the info! |
Ok you seem to have engaged in personal vendetta.
Nope. Just asked you to make an actual point, but I guess you dont have one
Churchill is fine. Do you disagree? And how.
You quoted me first, but who knows why, you didnt even state your opinion on the unit. You just felt the need to say I was wrong (but im the one making it personal...?) |
Now pls stop wasting all our time and simply move on.
After you. Make a worthwhile point besides just arguing with people. Do you think the churchill should be nerfed and how? Otherwise you're the only one wasting peoples time
BTW i was rading plenty carefully. "A number of buffs" is a BS claim. It received 3, and none of them were significant. and saying "defensive smoke" is not the same as actually saying the change correctly. Which is a speed while the smoke is being launched. |
Comet nerfed APRIL 25th UPDATE 2017
Churchill buffed for the last time in DECEMBER 19th 2017
YES, Now go look at what those changes were. HINT: I already mentioned them. All they changed on the 19th was the speed while launching smoke, popcost, and its crews moving acc (hardly a huge buff) Jesus dude
Popcost and its speed while launching smoke were the most significant changes since.
All the changes you mentioned came before comet nerf |
That claim is incorrect, Churchill has high acceleration and rotation and is not easy to flank.
No, its correct. Its acceleration is only high because its top speed is MUCH lower. P4 has a top speed of 6, vs 4 of the churchill.
That claim is also incorrect Churchill has received a number of buff like lowering fuel cost and defensive smoke.
No it was correct, you just need to learn to read.... I very clearly was talking about changes SINCE the comet nerf. Instead you underlined parts of sentences and ignored all of the context. I could not have been more clear:
This unit is clearly fine, no one used it before comet nerf and its stats were essentially the same. Popcost and its speed while launching smoke were the most significant changes since.

Not true it is already on a list of things to change next patch. You have to remember the "scope" we work under.
Is this list available to the general community? Or is nothing official |
