Thread: 5CP Puma is way too late7 Mar 2020, 19:50 PM Puma is not a hard counter to t70 imo. It is still very fragile especially to oorah plus snare, penals with at, guards with at. Add the fact that t70 penetrates it too. There are also at guns. I don't see a reason why puma should come later than t70. Especially because it doesn't give ostheer anything in terms of anty infantry. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: What to do with OST?7 Mar 2020, 19:14 PM The ost problem is more about infantry than tanks. Main issue is they can stay under fire shorter than allied counterparts or OKW. Less time to deal DMG before you have to retreat and more likely to get wiped due to not devoting enough attention. IMO it should be addressed with tier 4 options opening up after researching it (maybe even with t4 cost increase). In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Panzerschrecks - state of balance9 Jan 2020, 14:26 PM The real problem is not their DMG. I am against buffs to shrecks. The real problem is the pzgrens durability and bleed under tank fire. Larger allied squads will manage to land more shots before they have to retreat. Even if they risk losing models they will bleed less, especially if they use echelons or sappers. At the same time they don't waste expensive anty infantry squads and can have cheap stopgap AT units. I wouldn't touch pzgrens here, just allow to purchase one shreck for pios after researching say battlephase 2 In: COH2 Balance

Small arms hurt a katty more then a werfer. The longer spread out barrage only adds to this. Because it needs to expose it self longer in a close range barrage. They katty has no turret or any other weapon on it. I think the werfer is fine as is. IMO talking about durability here makes little sense. Both are very voulnerable. Of course it could account for like 10-20 manpower. The real difference is the fact that a short range Katty barrage is really deadly and lands rockets very quickly, it also denies the area. Katty's price should be higher because of it. Definitely a werfer shouldn't be more expensive. In: COH2 Balance

I agree that making it fall in shorter time might make it too deadly. But then it should become more area denial toll too, rather than semi reliable (basically requiring only opponent micro to suck) to be effective. Generally, alpha strike indirect fire unit seems a bad idea (Your mortar arguments seem to confirm it), unless maybe you just make it cheaper than Katy and leave as is. In: COH2 Balance

Imo it is exactly why katusha is more useful=better (you no longer have this squad is exaggerated and requires really much better micro than from opponents' to make it work like that - same skill level it will be "you wasted your barrage again") In: COH2 Balance

You can deny VPs etc. If you are lucky or the opponent sloppy, you will wipe with it more than with werfer. With werfer you will waste your barrages more often. To me the required change would be shorter time between the sound and rockets hitting the closer the range. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: The UKF solution5 Dec 2019, 21:37 PM I also think that once sovs or USF are not that strong ppl will come back to ukf and start thinking of new strays to play with ukf. I like them myself and I'm ok with using doctrines to fill the gaps and having emplacements to fulfill similar role. I would only like to get back more resources for dismantling emplacements to make them more useful. In: COH2 Balance
