What I really don't understand is how people expect USF to play properly if every single f*cking unit the faction uses to play on an even field with axis units is nerfed until it's not scary any more.
I would never subject myself to the torture that is playing stock USF against ANY faction.
Seriously though, I do see the issues with paths. Just unfuck the faction. Seriously. Make the paths not a combat unit, sure, whatever. But give USF something in return. Make paras come earlier with their upgrades locked, I don't know.
EDIT: In fact, I haven't played USF AT ALL ever since I started playing SOV just because of how incredibly un-fun it is to get beat back by Panthers and panzergrens and lmg grens and just have NOTHING to contend against them with. If you pick the wrong doctrine or god forbid you try to pick a FUN doctrine, you're on a timer to just lose the game. It's as simple as that.
Decent take actually.
IMHO the problem with USF is not Pathspamming per se, but rather that the average USF fan has no resort to other opening. Other factions, like OST/OKW can play with every possible opening and be extremely effective (4Grens to double Mortar, 1MG to 2 Grens to 1 sniper, 2 MG to 2 Mortars to 2 Pak etc). Hell, even UKF can open with Assault Sections and mortar in order to counter OKW close quarter threat.
Such an alternative does not exist with USF, so 4Path to Scott is the only gamble to victory. |
Lmfao true. "Frontline barbarian units". Now I'm thinking of Civ...
Now that you've brought up CIV VI I have to say, that it's another example of what happens when devs choose to stray from the original beautiful design vision of the first games. CIV V is amazing, CIV IV too, CIV VI is a politically correct dumpster fire. I regret the 100hrs I gave this shit and the 12 dollars I paid for it in Humble Bundle. |
this is chance to penetrate @ long range with 220pen vs each of those tanks
ew numbers |
You've selected stats for April with UUUU setup being played 83 times in total out of 20k games across all ranks. Not to mention, its probably due to communist ideology, adding 1 SU player to UUU team, suddenly makes W\L normal. Or because 475 games were played.
As for March UUUU set up had 327 games with normal W\L. And if I understand it correctly, only 1 top 200 UUUU game was played.
On a side note, "garbage USF on life support" is consistently having highest allies win rate in 4v4, since Jan.
Very American way of interpreting statistics. Literally the freedom to interpret them however the hell you want.
From a sample size of 460,000 games 4v4 games this patch, USF has a win rate of 48%. And as Gachi mentioned, highest Allies win rate in 4v4.
So you've managed to find an extremely specific cross-section with a minuscule sample size that you can twist to fit your narrative - what's the deal?
I just LMAO at your comments supporting a faction that's solely based on Paths + Scot combo to even be competent...
Wow someone played against 4 axis noobs and decided to say USF have highest allied rate gg nice one yes take it wehraboos

Extremely broken infantry that loses to Penals at every range and every stage...
In what world? |
Are you saying you want game modes that are more than just VP/annihilation? y |
Yours statement is very wrong
Su-85 pen is 240-220
considering max range since it should be at max range
Not considering the chance to miss, which is around 4-20%
Tank name / armor / Chance to su85 pen
PzIVJ 234 94%
Brumbar 260 85%
Panther 260 85%
Tiger I 300 73%
TigerII 375 58%
Elefant 400 55%
JGTiger 450 48%
What are those numbers |
generally allied armor is weaker in terms of raw firepower and/or durability/armor. A tiger fights a T-34/85, or sherman variant, or a KV-1, while an IS-2 would fight a panther or two stugs (both of whom outrange it, mind you), occasionally panzer 4s that it can bully.
Allies have their tank destroyers, who are really good machines, but they do not make the tiger obsolete at all. And the tiger has combat smoke and blitzkrieg, which let it be extremely survivable
Why do you forget to mention the amazing Jacksons/SU-85s that guarantee a pen against any armor I wonder???????????? |
they're gone because the modding team never understood balance. Some faction had faster and easier healing system which were offset by being more subject to casualties or more expensive reinforcement cost or simply being more dependant from it. Unbalanced they said and applied an equivalent rate to everyone.
Same thing went for repairing time, people complained that it took too much time to repair their heavy tank not understanding that was also part of balancing them. They're slow to repair but the repair is free, not anymore, now they're still free to repair and repair super fast.
+1000 another pitfall of the retarded "make every faction play and work the same" mentality.
Wait until you realize the old timings for units such as T70, Luchs, Rocket arty (which was in T2 instead of T3) and you will see the scope of the problem. |
Can you read? If so, you will get this. |
