Thats simply not true. Please try to be constructive and stay with the facts, else your thread will look like a big cry out for "I can't play versus emplacements please nerf brits". Its like MarkedRaptor said a lot of nerfs with zero compensation. Maybe its no fun for you to play versus brits, but that is a totally different aspect. Its about faction design not about balance. If you nerf emplacements you have to buff their mobile units accordingly at least. In: COH2 Balance

The IS bonus came through completely unchanged but the RE bonus now applies to every weapon an RE squad can use instead of being restricted to the Sten. The practical upshot of this is that REs not only have a better Bren than in-cover IS while out-of-cover, they also receive an actual cover bonus on top. This is a bug (confirmed here by Cuddletronic) so it should be fixed in the next patch. Thx for insight. Reducing the reloading of Piat by 50% in the hands of Sappers could make it useful actually. But it will be changed soon nevertheless so it doesn't matter. In: COH2 Gameplay

Just wondering. In CoH it was possible to do it in mods. You just had to set "allow_ability_in_garrison" (not the exact sentence, but it was something similar) from "0" to "1". Blitzkrieg was an example for a mod using this mechanic. I'm pretty sure it is possible in CoH2 too, but it seems to be not intended to bring it into the game. In: COH2 Gameplay

Looks fine to me. As others said already and differed from op by doing so (including me) it is not the 1vs1 combat situation that is broken but multiple squads versus multiple squads. OKW and USF clearly profit the most at the moment because their infantry squads perform better when amassed and are more of an allround solution to combat multiple different threats. This wasn't easy to counter before the patch but it got worse now. So Wher, SU and UKF struggle in infantry combat of bigger scale versus WFA factions. In: COH2 Balance

It's your objective as axis to hold on until lategame for your good vet and units. what you completely forget is the micro cost. microing US late- and midgame is extremely stressful. As wehr, you can build your mg/pak wall, have some spotters and snipers behind. as US, managing to flank with rifles and smoke grenades and rushing in shermans in the right angle firing smoke and focusing the right units takes a lot more effort the micro cost is generally neglected by forum discussion. the usual comparisons are "unit vs unit" or "faction vs faction" but the effort of the player and micro intensity of units aren't mentioned. the jove game wasn't that bad the most time. however there is one point in which jove had a massive army and attacked with every unit at the right spot at the same time. that's an insane amount of skill which few people have but also can comprehend. thats's also the reason for the playercard thingy. without experience you don't understand such "hotspot moments". forum discussions are led in a vacuum with only considering the variables you need. True words man. I can back this up. I'm always a lot more relaxed when playing axis, especially when playing OKW. On the other side it is a lot more satisfying to win in this stressful situation when playing allies and game already reached the late game stage. Winning with allies feels more rewarding because of this. To all axis only players: Try it too. In: COH2 Balance

Commandoes are bugged atm, ambush bonus only applies to one smg, or was it even only the first burst. Don't get me wrong I appreciate that you are investing time to test units and share your results with us. Really, I have to say that ;-) Personally I like the design of british infantry the most, because they are not running around like allround armed rambos out in the open. They actually have to seek for cover. The problem is that infantry battles get bigger, so multiple units will fight at once. It gets way harder to bring all units in a decent position for a good firing position to focus fire on a single enemy unit + you are very prone to rifle grenades and mortar rounds. Commandos got balanced while compared to units without offensive attack bonus (because it was bugged). Now they have to face units that are firing faster with a higher accuracy and hence will take more damage while getting no additional received accuracy themselves with vet. In: COH2 Balance

You are saying it by yourself. I would guess that your test conditions are not very common. In most combat situations tommies will perform worse by far. I'm even more afraid about Commandos getting worse by not scaling up with vet like other troops do. In: COH2 Balance

In game once you lose the 4th Tommy you drop or lose a Bren too, same with the third leaving just your scoped Enfields. One of the Brens was last man standing and last 2 always had a Bren in your tests. Either the drop bug has been fixed or the mod is slightly different.. I'm sure I've seen dropped Brens in game though since the patch. Yes, it is a know issue that they still not fixed. You are better off building Sappers with Brens until they fixed it (especially if you go anvil specialization). In: COH2 Balance
