Spearhead and Jaeger seem good to me |
"• Mines can now be killed by flamethrowers "
So what you're saying now is that S Fields are completely useless |
doesn't even convert it to Australian time
Australian time is 2 hrs behind Beijing (that's for Sydney/Melbourne etc)
Perth is in the same timezone as China |
I think these changes are quite decent because, personally, in all of the COH2 games I've played, I've found the midgame quite painful to play. (and hence the endgame)
The midgame needed fixing, and I'm glad relic fixed that. |
Why in the world is the ladder situation a grim one? There are ladders. Quite frankly, I would rather have the elite competitive community here run them than Relic.
Ladders aren't so important, but its certainly incentive to play more.
After all, isn't it great to know if you're getting better at a game?
However, if there is little incentive to play the game, then ladders don't matter at all - what's the worth of climbing a ladder of a game that you don't care about.
That said, I care about COH2 but not as much as I did with COH1 |
Considering there are about 2 games on the market worth playing, CoH2 being one of them, I can't really state "I quit CoH2" because, well, I would have nothing left to play.
The leaderboard situation is a grim one, indeed. And so is the entire industry.
You know, that's exactly how I feel, although I feel so disillusioned by the state of COH2 and its community at the moment that I rather play some other games at the moment.
It's kinda taken me off competitive gaming altogether. Here was me, a year ago, really wanting to climb that ladder on VCoH, now I couldn't care less. |
At the end of the day, I reckon this is probably going to take as much a similar path as Red Orchestra 2 did.
I'll admit, I haven't been part of the Red Orchestra 2 release. However, I heard that it had its fair share of problems. However, within a year or two, they fixed the problems and it is now more active than ever, especially with the addition of Rising Storm.
COH2, for now, has its fair share of problems post-release and it is kinda painful to play through. Will COH2 be a good game? Yes, considering the dev input, but it'll be in a year or two considering the dev input. In the meantime, prepare to not have so many players playing until things are more polished. |
Completely agree with Cyridius. That is the main reason why I'm getting turned off COH2 at the moment - too little to encourage me to play, too little variations in play.
And some of the actions taken by the CM has been heavy handed too, leaving the rest of the community being either long time players of COH or whiners. |
Just as pqumsieh stated. A received accuracy modifier would be appropriate here. But, can that be directional? As in, a HMG making a soft retreat takes more damage getting shot in the back, or getting shot in the back from a flank. They do it with tanks, I don't see why it can't be done with infantry.
The model of tanks is more complicated than infantry. Currently, infantry is and should be considered as one object whereas tanks have rear armour and frontal armour. In a sense, rear armour hits are also counted as crits that only do more damage.
A receive accuracy modifier for all crews should be involved regardless, along with reducing the number of men of both squads to 3 men. That way, crews aren't as silly as they are now. |
Lmao, and ppl thought playing against SSSSS was bad MVGame |
