Thread: Rework Conscripts/Oorah16 Sep 2013, 23:40 PM Most people would agree that the midgame DPS of the conscript is not that great. So changing around ppsh can solve its DPS problems that it faces (much like a BAR upgrade). Essentially, what I'm saying is switching Oorah with ppsh. This way, you have a unit which can do decent damage to infantry throughout the whole game without the doctrine while not having them run straight into an MG for a molotov. And also, apart from mines and maybe the odd Guards ability (which doesn't use too much muni anyway) and the occasional offmap, name any other places where the Russians really burn any muni. You can still spam Oorah to death, especially in the midgame. Before, Conscript spam was viable (hell, I was actually conscript spamming before). Now, it's ridiculously strong. EDIT: Please note that I did not say, completely change up Oorah, I'm just saying, switch Oorah with PPSH. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Rework Conscripts/Oorah16 Sep 2013, 12:40 PM Currently, for the cost that Oorah has, it simply allows the conscripts to do way too much. And also, it pretty much has a crazy effect in the Russian earlygame where it's certainly viable to spam oorah to death. So, this is one of the things that needs to be reworked. It now works exactly like Fire-Up for Rangers/Airborne which Relic said they wanted to remove but instead, effectively added in a main line unit. My suggestion 1. Make Oorah Doctrinal. This should really go in the Guards rifles/Conscript support tactics. 2. Make PPSH a researchable ability for 200 MP 50 Fuel. That way, Conscripts will continue to have a decent DPS without having the ridiculous "fire up ability" from minute 1. What do you guys think? In: COH2 Balance

This could be to the fact that as a Soviet player I was able to use pre patch Maxim to some degree. Transition from the God like MG to the unit we have today must have been painful for majority of players. You can even find replay I posted in other topic to support my opinion. Just so you know, I never used the Ostheer MG previously because I knew it was broken. Usually, my build tends to be Gren Gren Sniper Gren. If they're massing Conscripts though, you do need the MG. In that game, there was many times where Scripts were Oorahing through the cone of the MG. With PPSH, they just wiped the MG. ie, this means the MG has to be notched up in suppression or Oorah has to be nerfed in terms of suppression resistance. Having a "Fire-up" ability which avoids suppression on a main line infantry unit (not rangers or Airborne) is kinda bullshit to be honest. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Which faction is best late game?15 Sep 2013, 22:24 PM IDK, Russian infantry seems stronger (EDIT: by this I mean shocks and guards) and with its abilities, it is possible to take on German heavy armour. Combine that with ZIS spam/SU-85s and Arty and they can really have a strong endgame. In: COH2 Gameplay

I you want to swap them around then I'm more than happy to do so. Just write a petition to Relic. I'll sign it. Here's the thing. The Germans do not have a movement/suppression buff ability from minute 1, making increased suppression for the MG42 the thing that is needed. Otherwise, how are you going to deal with a blob of conscripts Ooorahing at your MG? In: COH2 Balance
