Did you any reason to go behind enemy lines? Did you you recon the safest retreat path? Did you actually think the British opponent would more likely use the Bofors over the AEC. Since this is not about a replay I uploaded or a game experience I described stop asking what I did or did not... Flanking moves are supposed to be rewarded not penalized. The AA emplacements have enough utility without the blocking or retreat paths at a significant area. Choosing retreat path in certain map is not really an option. And I still have not seen a singe argument why Bofors should be good at killing retreating infantries... This can be easily fixed Reducing damage to units on retreat without having any other impact on the A.A.E. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: UKF AA emplacement and retreating squads23 Dec 2015, 15:16 PM As I explained AA emplacement shutting down retreat roots of flanking infantry adds nothing to the game while it reduced the effectiveness of flanking moves. This is not a L2P issue read understand respond.... It simply makes the game static oriented having to rely on frontal assault or support weapons... In: COH2 Gameplay

Units like the OKW AA halftrack, T70 etc will also often kill full squads of they have to retreat around it. OKW AAHT has to be set up, T70 has to chase the retreating unit. Both unit are fragile and not durable as an AA emplacement... Both units are not as good as AA at killing retreating infs...(AA.E. has around 3.5 times the DPS of AAHT) In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: UKF AA emplacement and retreating squads23 Dec 2015, 13:38 PM AA emplacement are very good at killing retreating squads. The weapon trucks fast, does lots of damage and has allot of range. The problem becomes worse when someone is retreating behind the weapon, where the AA can kill squad will all members and that makes flanking movement very dangerous... In the test I did retreating 10 5 men full health V.G. one at time the result are: 50% squad wipes, 86% entity kills If these where 4 men squads typical of axis armies the squad wipe would be up to 90% If these where 4 men with some damage the number would be close to 99% entity kills Imo a full health squad should have decent chance of surviving a retreat not a 50% chance... My suggestion would be to reduce damage vs retreating inf... In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Ostheer Scope14 Dec 2015, 14:39 PM As many other abilities it should simply be capped to a max range. 222 with spotting become very powerful only with the veterancy bonuses... Other than, since scope do not work while on the move their are fine. In: COH2 Balance

The are probably going to be nerfed hard and they should not be imo. Part of their current issues is the power SWS truck have. One can built them and use them to draw enemy fire from his units... My proposal allows the versatility of using them as normal production buildings or using them as strong points with a price according to their performance. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Resources sink for OKW trucks9 Dec 2015, 15:37 PM With the revamp of OKW their truck offer too much utility making them OP. Instead of nerfing them one could add a price in their utility making more balanced. Suggested changes: Command headquarters (T0) can now buy medic for price (100/20 maybe), has an upgrade that requires the 3 trucks that allows to call-in the KT. (OKW should have access to heal without having to built and upgrade a T1 truck) Currently most OKW end up with all 3 trucks and KT, while KT should not imo be built in every game...The upgrade cost and speed can be used to better balance the KT arrival and tech cost. SWS truck should have some of their speed and armor/HP back (since they now have cost). Battlegroup HQ (T1) loses around 25-50 HP no longer comes with medics. The Retreat point upgrade now cost 300/30-50, increase HP to current levels, provides medics and retreat option. This change reduces the effectiveness of aggressive placement of T1 making a bigger investment while allowing opponents to counter it easier before it is upgraded. Mechanized regiment HQ (T2) loses around 25 HP no longer comes with engineers, vehicles are built 50% slower. Has an upgrade that cost around 100-200/10-20 that increase HP to current levels, provides engineers and increases vehicle production speed. Schwerer Panzer HQ (T3)loses around 25-50 HP around 5-10 range and DPS no longer suppresses. Has an upgrade that cost around 100-200/20-50 that increase values to current ones. These changes aim at reducing the effectiveness of OKW aggressive placement forcing OKW player to invest more resources if they want to use such a strategy. On the other hand truck can still be used as normal buildings if such a strategy is not desired or if original trucks get destroyed. The overwatch commander could have some bonus on the trucks (maybe cheaper upgrades) since he more aggressive placement oriented. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: KV-28 Dec 2015, 18:09 PM As mentioned in other threads also I would suggest the following changes to KV-2: Reduce cost and CP. Fuel cost might had been fine during "soviet industry" but it is not anymore. KV-2 is weaker than both IS-2 and ISU-152 yet it comes later and it less cost efficient. Remove/lower the penalties of sight in siege mode and damage during the change of modes. Change vet 1 ability to something more useful as a barrage. Have 2 different set of veterancy 3 bonus, one for siege and one for normal mode. Increase (or remove) limit to 2 Fights between a KV-2 and Panthers don't say much about the unit value since one is a Heavy tank or an assault gun and the other a TD... In: COH2 Gameplay
