Lets see what Relic has to say about the subject: In game AVRE description: "Churchill AVRE this special designed and protected Churchill AVRE (Armored Vehicle Royal Engineers) is equipped with a massive 290 Petard mortar that fires 40 lb (Flying Dustbin) capable of levering fortification or smashing troop concentrations." In game description Brumbar SturmPanzer Brummbar known by its nickname "brummbar", this heavy assault gun has a 15cm howitzer in an armored casemate. It brings its gun into close range and smashes the enemy with 40kg shells. So according to Relic heavy assault gun exist and Brumbar is one of them. And another non constructive post begins. Heavy assault guns gun WHERE historically designed to fight fortification. Bunkers, fighting position are fortifications. 17P is a fortification as is the 88. Just because shcrecks can kill fortification does not mean that other units should noy be able either... No they are all heavy assault guns. Infantry support units are vanilla Churchill. So basically your argument is that Because soviet do not have fortification the other 4 faction should not units that have the role of taking out fortifications. Thread: Heavy Assault Guns vs Fortifications28 Dec 2015, 17:58 PM Heavy assault guns like: SturmTiger, ISU-152, KV-2 indirect, Brumbar, Dozer AVRE, should be better at dealing with Fortification like UKF emplacements, 88s, bunkers, flaks, trucks... SturmTiger especially does very little damage even to a Bofors if it is braced (around like 20%), and due to long time before firing one has plenty of time to use brace. Imo these weapons, that according to Relic have the role of destroying fortifications and where historically developed specifically for that role, should be better at it. (edited original post to include Relic design intended of heavy assault gun being used against fortifications, since some seem to be allergic to word "historic") One could add some damage modifier similar to Avre against structures. One could also make it veterancy related: for instance Brumbar vet 1 ability "Bunker Busting Barrage" could have damage bonus or even bypass some of the "brace" damage reduction. For instance instead of 75% damage reduction the reduction could be lower down to 50%. A similar change could be made to the Sturm Tiger (S.T.) also by adding similar affect in vet 1 since the vet 1 S.T. is quiet useless. Similar change could be made to other assault guns like the Dozer, Kv-2 indirect, ISU-152 giving some anti-structure barrage abilities (where not available) or some structure damage modifiers with veterancy. The K98 already does 10 damage, If you mean the G43 that does 14 and you are suggesting a 40% DPS reduction in all ranges. You are also suggesting 16% more reinforcement cost. 33% more weapon upgrade cost and while Osther buy 1 g43 for 22,5 MU the OKW will buys them for 77% more at 40, while the Ostheer G43 is better one... and a 33% more pollution. So you are actually suggesting a quadruple nerf with modifier up to 33%-40%. I don't think that even Relic know for their over-buff and over-nerf would go so far...This combination of nerfs will simply make the unit to be forgotten into oblivion. In: COH2 Balance

Guards come with bolt action rifle and AT weapons suitable for mid to long combat and can be upgrade with LMGs suitable for Long combat. fusiliers come with bolt action rifles suitable for long to mid combat and can be upgraded with semi automatic rifles suitable for close to mid. The doctrinal officer is actually unrelated to the overall balance of the unit itself. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: BOOM! bulletin does not work?26 Dec 2015, 11:22 AM The UI doe's not provide a scatter representation for the b4 and even if did it would probably be not accurate to see the difference as other info provide are not accurate enough...so the bulletin difference would not be visible. The 2 line represent the weapon facing, the area it will fire without having to turn...not the scatter. The B-4 has allot of scatter so 3 shell are not enough to come to a statistical conclusion. you either need more shots around 100 or to check the code... To me a bit more accurate most multiplier are not added and are multiplied so the actually difference would not be 3+3+3=9 100-9=91%, but 0.970.97.97= 0.913 In: COH2 Bugs
Thread: Stormtroopers or Panzergrenadiers?26 Dec 2015, 11:14 AM ST reinforce slightly faster. The linear connection of reinforce cost and time is an issue that has been identified (by Vipper) and I agree that is should be fixed (some units reinforce too fast other too slow). In: COH2 Gameplay
