Idk, comet is fine by me, it's fast, heavily armoured, decent pen + a bunch of useful abilities, especially white phosphorus shells. I never thought that the comet is bad on any level but maybe it's just my mediocre skills.
Lack of mortars also hurts alot but thankfully tommies have a smoke barrage now, so you aren't completely screwed when the enemy has an mg. You can also go maximum memelord and build a mortar pit but a commander with a howitzer or any competent okw player makes short work of any emplacement.
Also I definitely agree that the patch is really good, UKF is actually decent, maybe a little too good, but overall one of the best patches so far imo.
I tried it in a couple 4v4's where I was muni starved which might be why I thought it was so bad. The other team was building howitzers in both games and the Comet didn't do anything against the Pak wall, even when I got it behind the Paks. It seemed better in a couple 2v2's that I played where I needed something mobile. Even at those, I wasn't sure if it was worth the price premium over a Cromwell. |
I love it in teamgames. Almost no one expects to hit M20 mines against USF unless they see you planting them or they're actually decent and sweep before sending in tanks.
I think the skirts are expensive, but the only thing USF is buying is weapon upgrades and grenades. Taking away skirt pricing to any extent means faster BARs/zooks which can just give USF an earlier powerspike, something they currently do not need.
Are there any abilities that reveal mines besides sweepers, or that cause the M20'S location to the other team (now that the flashlight truck lost its x-ray vision)? I've had a couple games where people would come up to the edge of a mine but not run it over, even without a sweeper nearby. In one of those, somebody dove a couple stugs in between a teammate and I, killed a couple vehicles, then made a 140 degree turn and went straight for my M20 which had been laying mines on the side of the map. It felt like a maphack but I don't know if those are real or not. |
The comet is good but its splash damage is almost none existant, the amount of times I have hot just next to a squad and it does nothing, or the shots simply phasing through the world and not making an impact, so it is quite buggy I think.
It seemed worse than a Panther at AT while having the same mediocre AI as a Panther. I used some in a game last night and had a hard time decrewing AT guns even when it was at point blank range behind the AT gun. The other armor seems okay. |
On the whole I am enjoying the balance across all factions.
UKF is still a mixed bag but otherwise its been a good patch.
However, since the patch I have been getting 2-4 second lag spikes in some games.
Lag spikes and bug splats don't seem any worse for me this patch.
I've tried UKF probably a dozen times this patch. It seems better but I haven't played it in a long time. The Comet seems really underwhelming. Lack of a non-doc mortar also hurts on some matches and matchups. |
Except that it's not 0.05%. It's a 50% improvement in RA because we're comparing the previous -10% RA with the current -15% RA. If a unit has 0.1 of a particular stat, and you give it another 0.05, it's not a 0.05% improvement. It's 150% of what it previously was. It's a huge performance improvement relative to the previous iteration of Tommies
And the moving accuracy buff is a 42.8% increase in moving DPS, not 0.15%. Your numbers are off by about 28,500 %.
Tommies have indeed been overtuned but not to the point where they're uncounterable. They used to be great in cover and bad when moving or out of cover. Now they're great in cover and still better than Volks/Grens when moving or out of cover, which is pretty oppressive given how early bolster comes online.
You do have a somewhat valid point on the moving accuracy, it is a larger increase if you use the previous moving accuracy as the divisor. By your own math, you're wrong on the RA. You could call it a 5.9% buff, so you only missed it by 144.1%. (or since it was really a 5.9% buff, you exaggerated it by roughly 2440%)

Distrofio:
I think you are really missing the point here.
Let me use a simple example.
Lets buff Kubel speed 100%
Kubel OP (of course) but... is OKW OP because of that?
Meet Distrofio:
Clearly BS.
1v1 matchup only. Skill dependent assumption. Small sample. Missing combinations. Not a single in depth description of each game.
Let's not spread sh*t please
So you and others turn a couple small percentage buffs into a huge balance issue, somehow needing a hotfix that Miragefla allegedly had ready to go (if true, would really like to see him explain himself), declared UKF more or less unbeatable before the tournament, and even had people calling the balance team incompetent and demanding they quit.
Yes, let's not spread shit please. |
Orangepest describes it perfectly. Allies still OP.
COHRONA cup finals
1 – OKW beats UKF
2 – Ost beats Sov
3 – OKW beats UKF
4 – Ost beats Sov
5- USF beats Ost
Clearly Allies OP. |
Port of Hamburg rework with the canals removed so there's actually more than 1 path to approach the fuels/vps, rip the dream
I had an 87 minute (hour and a half) game on that map. The center VP is so constricted that it's really difficult to cap. It's much worse from the right because there's only one viable approach, which means that people will shell the area with howitzers and rocket arty, randomly deleting squads. It's worse in 4v4 than in 3's because units are so stacked on each other that howitzers vet fast if not deleted.

This was my worst game but I had several others that went over an hour. |
If you don't have the time or desire, why are you still involved at all. Why not pass the proverbial torch to someone willing to take a more active part in developing and refining our gameplay experience?
Because none of us want to actually work on the maps, we'd rather just complain about some of them being in the rotation, and then complain about playing the same maps over and over again.
Also, to Rosbone's point, very few people play all game modes. Most of the people I play with either play 2's or 4's.
I agree with blackdream, Vaux needs work. I'd also like to see Port of Hamburg redone as it seems like my win rate is much worse from the right side, regardless of faction. Steppes also seems unbalanced. Some of the maps like Oka River just seem so strange that I don't know if any amount of fix would make it decent. |
why has the t34 still not made cheaper? It is unusable!
It should be 80 fuel and 8 pop.;
t34/85 should be 110 fuel, 10 pop
and light tanks are hardcore overpriced.
Um, no.
The T34/76 is probably the most cost efficient tank in the game. I've had games where I've had over 40 kills with one. They're less manpower than some infantry squads. |
