Just wondering: how are you gonna be able to play at 15:00 GMT if you're possibly not able to check in 15 minutes earlier?

I have 2 2 hour flights and the second might cover up the window. Assuming I can get in, how fast do we have to play our game once the bracket is set? I know you are supposed to go start a game thread.

I ask because I will have 5 to 6 hours free after my flight gets in I just wonder why there is not a larger sign up time and then make sure the game(s) has to be done by a certain deadline. Noob to esports so maybe a dumb question.

I had good micro (for me at least) this game and was able to often cut off my oponnent while rarely losing my secondary cut off and never losing my primary. At one point i was floating MP at T3 and lost my T70 but had a large advantage in infantry with Guards doing very well keepign pumas at bay and raking ostruppen with DPs. With Guard motor I have no heavy KV8 to annihilate inf or IS-2/ISU-152 to shock my enemy and rush him so what shoudl I do here? I am working on my soviet game and I want to know what to do when I get a fuel lead and I am holding up well with infantry....When I play Ostheer and have good early and mid game I know what I like to do...build extra fuel caches and then tech T4 and get panther so I can overwhelm whatever armor may come unless he amasses 2 or more tanks without me getting to fight his 1st.

Looking at this replay, what could i have done differently because I feel like my play let this game go on too long. Previous game I got a good lead and built a KV8 and rushed the ostheer base annihlating a mortar in 2 sec! and a weakened PG in a another couple seconds and it was GG. I am asking for what to do when I don't have a call-in shock armor unit to deliver the coup de grace! Thanks

I went T1 to counter the kubel which i was very happy with how i played against it. I ended up pushing it off with first conscript duo since i didn't over extended myself. I ended up taking it out with my scout car I wreaked lots of havoc wit hshocks and got greedy trying to wipe the sturms who reatread with 1 man left but i went too far and lost the car to flaks....i kept going for his cut off and kept my fuel intact thoughout early game. However he just simply blobbed volk grens and pfusieliers. Slowly but surely the blob grew and he started to camp my cut off and i couldn't push him off...my T70 got there first but i guess i was just too late and i was countered by schrek and a reketten.....how do I stop an opponent who just keeps accumulating a blob through man power and munitions. My effort to simply cut him off of fuel while keeping mine so i could out tech him failed miserably...i felt my micro was better than his but maybe not. Help appreciated.

Just to make sure in case, if I use Soviet reserve army I can call in Partisan tank hunters right? It's just partisan commander banned?!??

Problem:

With the JagTigers recent price change and the fact that we will be seeing more of them, I believe it's time to talk about it and it's little brother the Elephant. Notably it's general lack of any true counters.

Given these unit's huge armor, health, and range they are a extremely hard unit to take out. While they have a big price and rightfully dominate armor vs armor battles this leaves them extremely resistent to just about everything in the game. Leaving the only true way to combat them to completely overwhelm them with the very unit they are strong against.

Fighting them often requires the enemy player having a lack of support and if even moderately supported can be a impossible feat to actually damage in any way. And while in 1v1 a player can choose to fight elsewhere or exploit the lack of support it's cost might take, this situation becomes less and less likely in 2v2+ settings where allies can easily support them and their usage is more numerous.

Solution

All I would like is for some counterplay to be introduced so that players can effectively fight back and damage the super heavy TDs when completely routing it's support or overwhelming it with large numbers of tanks isn't possible. Which may look something like this:

Bazookas/PTRS/Piats +100% Penetration vs Elephant and JagdTiger
Zis-3/57mm/6-pounder +50% Penetration vs Elephant and JagdTiger
ML-20/Priest/Sexton/25-pounder +50% Damage vs Elephant and JagdTiger

*Numbers should not be taken exactly and are only meant to display intention

The intention being to allow infantry AT to actually do consistent damage to the Heavy TDs if they manage to flank or get within range. The TDs still will have large health pools and wouldn't be at too much risk but could be atleast damaged and forced away for repairs to allow allies a few moments with armored support to fight back.

As well the artillery changes, would give a more solid way to damage them in deadlocks if they opt for those. Especially in those more clustered 3v3+ modes where flanking isn't an option. Considering the low accuracy on artillery this should only allow them to premptively damage or finish off a weakened heavy TD as no more then 1-2 shots can usually hit per volley.

Here is the problem. You can't possibly balance super heavy armor for both 1v1 and up to 4v4. In 1v1 they are much more vulnerable to flanks and need longer to get fuel because less overall strategic points. In 4v4 as you said there is often limited or no flanking opportunities once each player grabs one heavy. But if you nerf Elefant and JT that would help balance 4v4 play but destroy those doctrines for 1v1 and maybe 2v2. I'm sorry but assymetrical games are almost impossible to balance all modes from 1v1 to 4v4 unless you want it to just be different models doing same DPS and every unit has a analog on the other side. My two cents.
